  5. That's what happened to me last week along with the dehydration. I has to have a ct scan with contrast because the docs thought it was a bad hernia. It ended up being a pulled muscle. surgery date: 7/30/12
  6. I had my surgery on 7/30 and was told i could have sex on 8/3. I was uncomfortable and slightly painful but, we made it work! :-) surgery date: 7/30/12

  10. Same has happened to me. I went out and had some Soup. When I asked for a to-go container, the waitress asked me if the soup was not good. I said it was good and she kept looking at me weird. I then explained to her that I had gastric bypass surgery and that was all my tummy could hold. :-) surgery date: 7/30/12
  11. Hahaha! Too funny...but true. The phone also has some weight:-) surgery date: 7/30/12
  12. Okay. So I think I did have dumping syndrome then. I felt sweaty and cold and then I felt like I was going to vomit and like I was going to faint. I did lay down for a while last night and it went away but then after a while I started with the diarrhea. Now that I look back I did have a bite of my son's hot dog so that muy have been it. surgery date: 7/30/12
  13. I chose the RNY for a totally different reason. I have diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, low thyroid, arthritis of the back and hip, neuropathy, and retinopathy. In march I had lazer treatment in one of my eyes. My eye doctor told me that if I didn't get a grip on the diabetes, I would end up blind within 10 to 15 years and I am only 34! RNY gives me a better change of getting the diabetes under control so that was my major motivation for this surgery. I originally was going to have the lapband but there was no guarantee with that surgery for the diabetes to get better. surgery date: 7/30/12
  14. I think I am experiencing my first dumping experience...or not? I have bad diarrhea and my stomach is hurting quite a bit. I think it might have been either a bite of hot dog I had yesterday afternoon which was high in fat. Can I experience dumping without having vomiting? I did feel like vomiting but I was able to get rid of that feeling. Now it's just the severe diarrhea. :-( surgery date: 7/30/12
  15. I had a tiny bite of chicken the day b4 my surgery so I don't think u r in too much trouble. I wasn't. Good luck:-) surgery date: 7/30/12
  16. I was told no pork meat until 1 year post op. Any one else told that? surgery date: 7/30/12
  17. I had chicken on day 9 post op and did just fine. Make sure it is leg or thigh as both are moist and not as dry as breast and wing. surgery date: 7/30/12
  18. I'll start doing this so that at least I get the electrolyte's. Thanks:-) surgery date: 7/30/12
  19. Same here. I don't enjoy food anymore nor do I crave it. I'd rather spend my day not eating anything. I've had a few days where all I can get in is 350 to 400 calories. Let's think positively and hope this gets better. Long journey ahead of us:-) surgery date: 7/30/12
  20. The phone reminder is a bright idea. I'm gonna try that to see if I can get more liquids in. Thanks for the idea. surgery date: 7/30/12
