Post Op Q's?

How long after surgery did your swelling go down and how long to loose the excess weiht gain from surgery? I am so swollen and I had lost 11 on my pre op diet and when I got home from the hospital I had gained those plus another 2, TIA!

I'd say a week to two weeks. Try and drink as much water as you can and walking also helps. Good luck. I think everyone has experienced this.

I lost all the Fluid weight about three days after surgery

I am loosing it but slowly, I did have a revision and was an IV fluids for all four days so I am hoping this is it because it definetly is not the eating, lol!

I was told that at least 3 weeks in order for all the swelling to go down.

surgery date: 7/30/12
