  1. I'm on day 11 post op and I'm doing 30 minute walks three times a day....and I always need a 90 minute nap in the afternoon. I just try to increase my distance and speed each day...if you do too much then you will not be able to do anything for days....be careful.
  2. Doing pretty well..just really tired ...didn't realize what a nap actually was until now !
  3. Can you add me Diane-Marie Seekins Colby ...can't locate you.

  7. The protein is hard I agree. I did get in two shakes today which put me at my 60 grams but they make me feel so full I have to drink them really slow!
  8. I have problems with the photos too lol
  9. I have gotten up to 30 minutes on my walks. I have a gradual incline on my street which I have been walking up and then on they way back when of course I am much more tired I get to walk down hill which is nice. I was able to drink a protein shake for breakfast and 2 tbsp of pudding for lunch. It's so hard to get in the protein as there is no hunger but I know it's important. Sigh ....
  10. I agree it is a personal decision. A coworker had her surgery last August and just told everyone she was on a protein diet under her doctors care. There was a lot of rumors. When she found out I was going through the program she talked with me. She said she hadn't wanted to hear the negative comments and also what if it didn't work for her? Well it certainly did and she's now lost over 100#. She is a great source of information for me. She is now telling people that ask how she lost the weight. I am a very open person but I did only tell family and close friends I was in the program. My boss new and was very supportive. I work in the healthcare field so you'd think it would be more acceptable but I find the green eyed monster can rear its ugly head in some coworkers. I opted to let my office staff know when my surgery date was scheduled and was surprised how many people supported my decision and said if anyone deserved it I did as they had seen me struggle and they have seen me continue to exercise and eat healthy. Of course there was the green eyed monster staff member that was oh poor me I wish it was me ..don't get crazy about it blah blah blah. I told her she could have it done also buy no alcohol for awhile which shut her right up lol. I have decided that I am only going to welcome positive people into my circle and if they are negative about the surgery I am going to let them know I will not tolerate that and to please not discuss it with me. I was also surprised how many people asked for information and one person has already signed up for the program! The more the better !
  11. Cutiepie I just downloaded the dummies to my kindle ...at first glance looks great! Thanks
  12. You could change the serving size to 2/3 instead of 1 serving if it won't allow you to change to cup amount
  13. It took almost one and a half hours but I did it! Unjury chocolate with skim milk! Got in 28'grams protein !!
  14. I agree Law! It's like there is nothing there any longer...very strange.
  15. I don't want to eat anything either ...just the thought ! I tried protein shake yesterday and it was like a lead ball in my pouch. Today I tried some protein soup which was a little better but still heavy. I am getting very little protein but able to take all my vitamins and water. I love the Popsicles the best.
  16. I'm not weighing myself til my post op with my doc. June 11th.
  17. Hey Mami! Glad to hear from you! Sorrynaboutnthe swelling but glad it is better. When did you get home? Today is the best day by far for me.
