I have some questions about the soft Diet my questions about the soft food Diet is this Mechanical Soft because I one time worked in a Nursing home and they used the words Mechanical soft. What Does this mean about my Food for the soft diet? I will have a Birthday coming up on August 14th when I am on the Soft Diet What kind of Restaurants would I be able to have a Birthday at with being on the Soft Diet? I found out through that ultrasound that my Gastro Doctor did on Thursday May 17 I have a Gallstone and I have not had the Gastric Bypass yet my Gastric Bypass surgery is on July 24, 2012. My Gastro doctor recommends that my gallbaldder be removed. I heard the GallBladder Can be a a problem after Gastric Bypass Surgery and now my Gallbladder needs to be removed What do you think will happen? If you know the answers please let me know? Channing

I finally got a Surgery Date for my Gastric bypass I am getting my Gastric bypass on Tuesday July 24, 2012. I start on a Full liquid Diet on July 10, 2012 where I have whey Protein drinks at Breakfast, lunch and dinner. I can have some Soups like tomato , Cream of mushroom Soup and I can have some pudding and if I want something soldi I can have Carrots, tomatoes and Celery. I have my Pre-Op appointment on June 25, 2012. I would like prayers and I would like to have a Diet Buddy and I will want to know what to do 1. What Should I do If I am having Vomiting that lasts for several hours 2. What Should I Do If I am having Diarrhea for several hours I know that you can experience these things after having Gastric Bypass. I have some more questions: 1. If you have vomiting that lasts for several hours do you have to get to the hospital even if it means calling 911? 2. If you have diarrhea for several hours do you have to get to the hospital even if it means calling 911? Right now I Vomit with my Heartburn or GERD. Has anyone ever had Heartburn or GERD where they Vomited with their Heartburn or GERD? Did you do things like Belch with your Heartburn or GERD? I am looking for email pen pals that have gone through Gastric Bypass that can be my diet buddy that I can share my weight with. I am wanting to try to lose some weight on my own before the pre0op. I am a female I am new here because I am Seeking Gastric Bypass surgery to help me 1. Because my Stomach is in my Chest and hurts and because my stomach needs to get fixed because it is in my chest 2. Because I have Very Bad GERD or heartburn where I 1. Vomit 2. Have Nausea feelings 3. Have Uncontrollable Belching 4. Have Cramps 3. I have Gastro Intestinal Bleeding 4. I have High blood pressure 5. I am Morbidly Obese and have been morbidly obese all of my adult life I have completed 6 months of Medical doctor visits, a psychological evaluation and a Fitness evaluation. I also had an Endoscopy done by my Gastro Doctor and my Gastro Doctor said that my Stomach that is in my chest needs to be fixed plus I have Acute Gastro intestinal bleeding. My Gastro Doctor has sent the results of my Endoscopy to the Gastric Bypass surgeon. There is one problem I am on Medicare and Medicaid I do not know if the government will be able to let me move forward to getting the gastric bypass surgery. I think all that is happening now is that I am waiting to find out if Medicare and Medicaid will let me move forward to getting the Gastric Bypass Done. Is there anyone on Medicare and Medicaid like me that has had Gastric Bypass What can I expect out of Medicare and Medicaid to be able to go forward with Gastric Bypass Surgery? I am looking for some friends that have had Gastric Bypass to help me know what to experience and answer any questions I have.
