  1. You might be starting a stall...the things you want to make sure you are doing is getting your liquids in, making sure your protein and vitamins are getting in, and if you are doing all of that, make sure you are walking. If you are doing all these things then your body is just trying to adjust and its called a stall. Sometimes your body is going through starvation mode and will hold all weight because it thinks you are trying to starve yourself. Get your food, protein and liquids in and all this should stop.
  2. Stick to what your nutritionist tells you. That's my advice.
  3. I used mine for about 3 weeks til I felt like my insides weren't falling out lol. Its a comfort thing. use as long as you need to.
  4. I need some good recipes for tillapia!! I had breaded before surgery can't have that now.
  5. I love turkey chili and turkey taco soup!!
  6. I can eat more vegetables than I am supposed to eat at 14 weeks but I still cannot eat 3 oz of protein (meats) isn't that weird...so I have to use shakes.
  7. I have had it before. As long as you are following what your are supposed to eat then you are good.
  8. Might have it checked for an ulcer.
  9. I have the same problems. My best advice for you is to portion control. Measure out your food. When your plate is empty then you are done. That is what I am doing and it is working. I'm also working on not snacking. Its really hard, but I'm really not hungry when I am snacking...I'm just doing it for something to do I guess. I hope this helps. Oh btw, I don't take 30 mins anymore either. I eat til my food is gone and then I am done.
  10. I want to see below 200 I could just scream. 26 pounds away
  11. I'm there now...losing 1 pound per week I am 14 weeks post op.
  12. My doctor said as soon as I was ready...5 days post op for me.
  13. I usually drink the G2 low Cal Gatorade...does this work as affective as the regular. I am asking because when I feel dehydration setting in I grab a Gatorade. Knock on wood, haven't been to the hospital for it yet.
  14. You look good!! Keep up the good work!
  15. I'm sorry no I haven't switched doctors, but have you called the Dr. That is closest to you to see if they would even take you right now? They may want you to go to your first follow up appt. and then switch over, but bottom line is of you are not happy with your doctor you should switch. You pay too much money for this surgery to not be happy.
  16. I love that you work at Starbucks. My favorite drink was white Choc mocha, non fat/no whip. Looking for a new drink. I would like to stay caffeine free and sugar free...what can I get from there....if you don't mind me asking. I miss my Starbucks so bad!!
  17. Congrats! You look amazing. Keep up the good work
  18. I did the same thing tonight with some pork chops I put in the crock pot. I thought maybe it was too dry...Idk. All I do know it did not settle at all. Could have been not chewed well. Anyway...after praying to the porcelain god...I feel much better. I think the white foam is because we don't have stomach acid anymore...its just the saliva we swallow. I have it too. Live and learn I guess
  19. Wow! The first part is great. Especially the sleeping in part. Honestly I cannot remember a time that I went to bed before 10pm and woke up later than 5-6am. Seriously congrats. Go buy them kids something! lol The second part is really difficult and I can relate. No one in my house is watching what they eat, so they eat all kinds of stuff that even at 13 weeks I CHOOSE not to eat. I started this journey to see it through til the end and that is what I plan to do. It is not easy sometimes and I struggle, but so far I have made it. That is all that matters.
  20. Mine is really long and really thick as well. I am just now 13 weeks out from surgery and I just had to have 8 inches cut off my hair. The problem I think is that it is not getting enough nutrients (I even take 1000mcg of sublingual biotin 3x per day) to get the hair what it needs. I would not cut it off just yet. Just see how your hair handles the surgery. You will be able to tell. Mine is starting to thin, my beautician told me there are some noticeable balding areas on my head. She recommended DS Labratories shampoo and a good conditioner. There is nothing that will stop the loss of hair, but you can promote the growing process which is what the DS Labratories does. Someone else suggested Nioxin but this only makes your hair seem thicker and does not promote any growth. Just some things that I have researched and gotten suggestions on. I have taken all my vitamins and get more than enough of my protein, so I am sure it is a hormone thing. It seems to happen around the same time for everyone 3-4months. Good luck and I hope this helps. Be sure to start your biotin early. This may help, but I can't promise anything.
  21. Wow! That is great! The closest one to me is almost an hour away...so that is not going to be good because that will give me an excuse not to go. That would be a great thing for me and my kids if it was closer though. Thanks so much for the information though.
  22. Ok, I have been checking out gym memberships and I am not sure that is going to be in my budget. I am actually looking at getting a couple pieces of equipment to have here at home. I have a treadmill and ab lounger. I was looking at getting a bowflex and a recumbent bike. What kinds of machines do you workout on when you go to the gym or what kind of equipment do you have at home? I am needing help in my core area, bust, arms and legs (haha pretty much everywhere!!) Please let me know what you do. I have been finding this stuff next to nothing on craigslist. So much cheaper than a gym membership. Thanks so much!!
  23. Watch the MIO. I found on the label that is does contain caffeine. Most of those do. Crystal Light is a good choice or try low calorie Gatorade (or G2). Bottom line is, to stay healthy you have to get all these things in. You gotta find your way of getting it all in. It took me 4 weeks to figure mine out. It is hard in the beginning to find what works for you, but you had this surgery to make a change, and that's what this is. I hope you find what you can handle. Look through the forums on here. There is so many people on here giving their suggestions one of them has to work. We can get through this together.
  24. Hello everyone. I am 3 months out tomorrow. I had so much trouble in beginning with getting my liquids, protein, and vitamins in. I felt so full all the time that I did not want to try anything. The only thing that I can say is that I just kept trying every day to get what I could in. One day it will just happen. I am not sure that I did anything any different than any other day, I just kept trying. It is so hard in the beginning, but one day it will just happen. Try not to stress about it. Just work at getting all your numbers in and it will happen. Those three things: protein, water, and vitamins are the three most important things for you right now. I had tons of protein shakes planned out for after surgery and could not drink any of them after surgery. You just have to keep trying to find something that works! You all can do it. You can't give up. You have to keep trying and it will work out. I spent a lot of money trying to find 1 shake that I could handle. This is a HUGE trial and error process. Learn to work with your "tool" (your pouch) and not try to work against it. It is an adjustment for the both of you! Learn to love it...even when it doesn't seem to love you in return! lmao. Hope this helps everyone.
  25. How are you getting that "fixed" because I am over this crap. I have had 3 kids ...I am done with this! I cannot take any birth control which stops your periods because the hormones in them cause blood clots in my legs.
