  2. I just looked this up online. I will call tomorrow and make an appointment to look into this. I am so fed up with it.
  3. I was going to call my surgeon on Tuesday for the same thing. I am a little over 4 months out and mine are horrible. I cramp like crazy. I retain so much water weight. My flow is so heavy I sometimes have to wear tampons and pads and sometimes still leak. I am so over this. Sorry I am sure this is TMI but maybe someone is having the same issues. I hate this. I have had 3 babies and I am fixed....I am ready for my period to go away.
  4. There are a lot of us on myfitnesspal.com. I think there is already a forum for this you can look up on here and find it and then add people from there. I really like it. I keep track of all my liquids, food, protein, vitamins, weight, measurements, and exercise. I really like it.
  5. Omg..I literally got tears in my eyes reading this. I am so happy for you! Half way there is a HUGE accomplishment, and then to tackle another is awesome. All I can say is congrats to you and happy hiking today. Please post a pic soon so that we can see!!
  6. Well today was my first day taking this. The only thing I can tell today is that I am having trouble eating. I am not hungry and feel full very fast. The only things I have had today are a cheese stick and 1/2 pouch of tuna. I am 4 months out I should be able to take in more and usually do. My energy is finally through the roof. My house is clean but I am not sure how it is going to help with my school work. We shall see.
  7. I completely understand...I have a hard time realizing how much I have lost. It will just take time. The only way to see it right now is to take the pictures. You look amazing. There is a HUGE difference! You won't be able to see it for about a year or so. Take the compliments you need them for encouragement.
  8. Just wanting to know if anyone has taken Vyvanse after surgery and if they have had a problem with it. I was prescribed this from my PCP doctor for adult ADD. Just wanting to know what are some of the side effects you have had or any experience with this at all. Thanks so much!
  9. Congrats on your surgery!! The first few weeks are rough. Get through these first few and you will be good to go! If you are already doing good then this should be a breeze for you! Congrats on your new life!!!
  10. I wma doing the same thing. I have them piled up in my closet, but I am scared to get rid of them.
  11. I am really wanting some GOOD sugar free/fat free smoothie recipes. I have been searching the internet, but not sure if these are any good. I have some nectar unflavored Protein that I would like to put in there. I am just craving fruit smoothies right now... strawberry and banana would be great maybe some raspberry or blueberry too.... Someone please help me out with a good recipe!! PLEASE
  12. Went ahead and did my walk tonight even though I did not feel like doing it at all. I feel so much better. I'm exhausted but at least I got it in. Hopefully I will start feeling better.
  13. Yes I am taking all vitamins and Protein I get between 90-115 grams a day with my Protein shakes and bars.
  14. I have been getting in my liquids, protein and vitamins. I have been eating but I really don't feel like eating at all. Getting in about 800 calories per day. I feel tired, weak, headaches and body aches. I am used to walking 2 miles a day and strength training 3 times a week. I have not felt up to it since Sunday. Any thoughts on what this could be or any ideas how to get back at it for me. I am just over 4 months out.
  15. Thanks so much for this link. I have been looking for some ideas.
  16. I am sure it depends on where you are losing it from. I have lost 87 pounds so far and I can still wear my jeans that were tight before surgery. Yes they are really lose and I have to tighten the belt all the way to keep them up. You are losing the weight you are probably just losing from all over equally so there isn't much change in one particular area. Hang in there babe. You will be fine.
  17. It is made by Crystal Light and its in the aisle where the other crystal light is. There is a margarita and an appletini. I tried the margarita and it is amazing! No alcohol in it, but it tasted just like a margarita. It hit the spot.
  18. I found something in the store today and had to try it. I am a HUGE margarita fan and I have been missing them since surgery. I am 4 months out so having a real one is not in the cards for me...but I found a "mocktail" that does the job for me. There are a couple different flavors. Try one. The margarita is sooooo good.
  19. I tried it 4 weeks out and dumped. I can eat it now at 4 months but not a lot. my nutrition specialist told me it has the highest amount of sugar in it, but its a great source of water. Good luck.
  20. Surgery date 4/20/12 down 89 pounds since April 1st.
  21. I found myself with this new obsession. I had to have my husband put my scale up. I started weighing in once a day...then several times a day...and now I a weighing in once per week. It depends on how much control you have on yourself. lol
  22. This is great! I just started a thread before I read this one. It's titled holy crap moment- congrats on your journey.
  23. I had to share because it's the little things on this journey that keep US all going. This morning when I got out of the shower I could actually wrap the towel around my body and tuck in the top and walk around with nothing hanging out! Huge moment for me. What's some of yours?
  24. I am 4 months out and I drink out of a straw.
  25. In my heaviest time (well even now) when I go somewhere I always look to see if I am the heaviest person there. I have surgery 4/20/12 and I am down 88 pounds. I am still doing it. I think its because the numbers I see on the scale. I am still 223 as of this morning. I think I will feel better when I am under 200. Its amazing what this surgery can do in such a short time. I am one that didn't want to go in public or family outings because I was embarrassed about my weight. I hope that changes with the new changes to my body. Good luck in your journey, and Congrats
