Surgery tomorrow
Good luck! I'll be praying for you.

Leg pain
You might need to talk to your doctor about that. I remember my doctor asking me if I had any pain in my legs. Good luck and I hope it gets better soon.

Extended leak time frame?
I was told it took 6 weeks for your stomach to heal. I hope that's right.

Exhausted, sick frequently and scared, help!
Sounds to me like gluten intolerance. I have it and all of your symptoms are associated with a gluten intolerance. I would definitely go gluten free and make sure that's what it is. Anemia is a symptom also. Good luck in finding the source of your problems.

16 dayssssss! Be my friend! :)
Sorry my finger got trigger happy.

16 dayssssss! Be my friend! :)
I also didn't tell anyone but my grown kids, my husband and my best friend. I didn't need anyone telling me that I shouldn't do the surgery when I had already tried every diet under the sun and failed. My health was simply going down hill, so it was pretty much my last option. I had my surgery on December 5 and I haven't had any problems. I did what my doctor said and I have not rushed things. After hearing some of the terrible stories about leaks and eating too much and being sick, no way. I ate about a 1/2 of a scramble egg this morning being careful to go slow and chew, chew, chew. I eat potato soup, beans mashed a little with mozzarella cheese melted on top. Just don't eat very much, a couple of table spoons. I have lost 25lbs and I am glad I made the decision to be a healthier me. Good luck the both of you with your surgeries and keep us posted.

Feeling Alone
You will get a lot of support here. I did and was grateful for it. Sounds like your husband is trying the best he can. You will mourn food because I do. These are all normal feeling and we all have them. Just know that you will get lots of support and encouragement here. I was sleeved December 5 and have lost 23lbs and have had no problems. Just do what your doctor says and don't try and rush it. Congratulations on your decision for a healthy life.

Worries
Very well said. I found if you do exactly as your doctor says, and don't try to rush things, then you will be ok.

Worries
- Worries
I know how you feel. I tried every diet under the sun and nothing was working for me. I would lose some then gain it back plus some. I had decided I could not do it by my self. There are times when I really miss eating when everyone else does but like I said you just have to stay focused on your health and know its the right thing.- Worries
I had my surgery on December 5 and I am so ready to be able to eat!! I am really liking being 20 lbs lighter though. It's a toss up between the two evils. Being over weight and eating what you want and being thin and eating less food. You can't have both, unfortunately. I just try to stay focused on the future picture when I'll be thinner and will be able to eat what I want, just less of it. I'm just tired of liquids and blended up foods. I know it's my mind telling me that real food would be better.- 3 days after surgery
I love my dachshunds commented on Biellita165's blog entry in The Light at The end of the Dark PassengerCongratulations!! I'm 4 days post-op an feeling alittle better everday. Here's hoping we have a speedy recovery!!- 3 days after surgery
I love my dachshunds commented on Biellita165's blog entry in The Light at The end of the Dark PassengerCongratulations!! I am 4 days post-op and i'm feeling pretty much the same as you. I did have a shower today and it felt good. I know i'm not getting all my fluids but I will just have to try harder. They repaired a hiatal hernia and that will makr it more difficult in the beginning. Here's to both of us having a speedy recovery.- Today Is The Day!
My day has arrived everyone!! I have to be at hospital at 8:30am. Keep me and all the other sleepers going in today in your prayers.- Omg Guess What!
Congratulations!!!!! I'm way happy for you. My surgery is in the morning. Excited and nervous!!- Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It's Off To Surgery I Go!
Congratulations!!! I will have my surgery on Wednesday, Dec. 5th. Hope you continue to have good results. I'm sure you will.- 26 Days Out, And Can't Eat Much Food At A Time, And Not Much Of An Appetite Either!
That you both so much. I try to focus on the end results and not worry about leaks and nausea. But its hard not to do sometimes. I will do exactly what they tell me to do but I know I will have trouble getting enough fluids. I am excited and nervous. I will keep you posted. Pam- 26 Days Out, And Can't Eat Much Food At A Time, And Not Much Of An Appetite Either!
From all the post that I have read, it sound like your doing good. I hope I do as well as you have. How was the first few weeks after surgery. I don't have Celiac disease but I have a gluten intolerance. I have to be very careful so not to get in that way to just like you. My surgery is Dec 5 and I am very nervous. Some of the stories are scarey. I don't like to be nauseous or throw up.So I will try very hard to only drink what and as much as I should. If you have any tips, they would be greatly appreciated.- Post Op Week 15 & Before & After Pic
You look fantastic! My starting weight is about the same as your. My surgery is on Dec 5 and if I look as good as you, I will be very happy. Congratulations!!!- Day 9 - Starting To Feel More Normal
Joe, It sounds like your are doing really great. I was concerned that after I get my sleeve I would have a hard time getting enough liquids. How often and how much do you drink at a time. I want to do everything right and it sounds like you could give some excellent advice. I am now 3 days into my liquid diet and my surgery is on the 5th of Dec. Needless to say I am very nervous. I do not like to feel nauseous or to be sick. Yuck!! Any advice would really help. Pam - Worries
