Extended leak time frame?

Hi...I had my final surgeon visit yesterday and was kind of floored when he mentiioned that with the sleeve you could have a leak in one week, one month or all the way to six months. Has anyone else heard this and has it happened to anyone?

    That is a terrifying thought to me I have done so well since being sleeved Nov 26th.. Does anyone know when we can stop worrying about Leaks? please share. After you are on soft are regular food are the symptoms for having a leak the same?

    I was told it took 6 weeks for your stomach to heal. I hope that's right.

    I also was told 6 months, I have read one or 2 experiences on the boards of people that far out experiencing leaks. So I think the main thing is, be careful, don't over eat, and don't do contact sports until you're clear.
