  1. Happy Birthday Ms Cindy!!!! I made a cake just for you, but Eileen took it and posted it before me, LOL.
  2. I'm a thrilled bandster! I've lost 52 lbs that without a doubt I'd still be carrying around this Thanksgiving, had I not chosen the band. For the newby bandsters, hopefully you too will become as close to your fellow LBT members as most of us have. Though I have not met but a couple face to face, I feel as though so many are my personal and I do mean personal friends. I could PM anyone of many on here with a problem and they would be there for me, as I would be for them. Michelle and Jonathan, VQ and others who have and are suffering a setback cause us to be concerned and caring, because their plight could happen to any of us at any time, but most of all, because we are family here and we all have the same goal...to lose weight, be healthier and ultimately happier with ourselves. With that in mind, Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
  3. My doctor repair my hernia during surgery and it was still all done in less than 1/2 hour and I was his first lapband patient. (he had an experienced doctor assisting from out of state) I didn't have any problems after surgery and minimal pain with the surgery, only shoulder pain off and on for a few days. I was driving on the third day. You'll do fine.
  4. I loved Jim Reeves, "put your sweet lips a little closer to the phone", LOL. He had the sexiest voice. Oh about those cookies, welllll, I still have everything sitting on my counter, but I had to go see my doctor today, did the muscle vs fat test again, I was tired of watching the scales not move, I'd lost 5 lbs since my visit in September, I'm at 53% of my loss, which is above what he expected, (ty, ty) and I'd gained 3 more lbs of muscle. I also found out I've been posting the wrong muscle gain, its now a total of 21 lbs, not 26, adding and subtracting was never one of my strong points. The nutritionist was happy that my bmi was down to 28, a year ago it was 39.5. I told him I wanted a fill after Christmas, which would be my last free fill. We also talked about the erosion with bands done mostly in Mexico. I told him this site had seen a lot of band problems lately and he was quite interested and was headed for his computer to check out LaMadam and Jonathan's plight. So I've put the cookies off until tomorrow AM, although I did pick up little bird from the smokers and took big bird to my sons he would have him at his house first thing in the morning. Plus, I got my hair done, so I've been busy, LOL. I'll check with everyone tomorrow.
  5. You'd have thought they would have brought the dead bird to your attention or left a note if you weren't there. Weird indeed.
  6. I have no regrets, though, I do worry about losing my band a lot. $$ per pound it was quite expensive, but I still would do it again at this point.
  7. Well, I'm going to the BBQ Restaurant to pick up big bird, he got smoked last night, lol. This AM, I'm doing a practice run on the cookies, I'll let you know how it goes. Have a great day everyone.
  8. Wow, that was quite informative. I assumed the tummy was stitched all the way around the band.
  9. The pictures are awesome. You look great, keep up the good work.

Kathy, I don't know the difference between xbox, 360, nintendo, gameboy, who makes them. I think it stinks that every time time they make a new game box, the old games don't fit and we as the public keep buying the dang things.
  11. Michelle, I think everyone must have thought about you and Jon before or after they drifted off to sleep last night. You're such a wise and strong woman. Thank you again for all of your knowledge and support.

    $16,750.00, plus psych test of $150.00, cash/check.
  13. I was in our local Hechts, which is a Mays company, and the lady was marking things 30% off, and taking down the current 40% sign, to allow for the "sale" and the 15% off coupons. Talk about ripped off.
  14. Thanks for sharing, I use to take the Milk Thistle, then got out of the habit of it, I had high enzyme levels too from my liver. Definitely on my next shopping list. I had to laugh, my doc thought I was an big drinker too, NOT.
  15. I feel guilty having a great day after reading the threads from Jonathan and Michelle. I'll be thinking of them both on Thursday and lots in between too. Oh yeah Beanie, if start a Dec thread, you may want to do it in the LapBand Lounge, because I think a lot of people are missing this thread. For months I use to just go between LBT, support and the lounge, then I wised up and started using the "new posts" short cut. Just a thought.
  16. Hope your birthday was wonderful.
  17. Jonathan, I'm so sad for you. I know all the "sorrys" don't fix your band, but hopefully it will help to know so many people care. I wish you the best and I too am bummed by this major setback you're suffering.
  18. I too am in shock. As I have said in many other threads, you have truly been an inspiration to me. Thank you for sharing your story and staying with us. I appreciate your straight forward advice and I will be putting more effort into my loss. It's odd, but my biggest fear with my band is what you're now facing, just out of the blue. Good luck friend.

Thanks everyone, I'll tell DGS's mom I've got the troups on the look out!
  20. Errr, we put all of our lights up on Sunday, I made sure I was at home at 5:00 to turn all the timers on at the same time to stay on for 4 hours, all went well on Sunday. Monday, they all came on at 4:00 and then went off 4 hours later, then today, at 8:30 this am, one of the porch sets came on. I'm so aggrivated, I've got 9 timers I've got to fool with now. Could it be the programmer????

Help, if anyone gets their hands on an extra Xbox 360, please let me know. My Grandson's mom thought I had put it on a preorder, and I thought she did, guess what we neither did. That's all he asked for for Christmas so, if you get one I'll gladly pay shipping and what ever you feel is a fair markup. Thanks
  22. Jack took the words right outta my mouth.
  23. I hope I never have to eat Jello again, LOL. Egg drop soup was good for me, s/f hard candy, (helped that need to chew). I also used Campbell's Soup at Hand, strained. Then by the end of week two, last week of liquids, I was eating the stuff at the bottom of the can, but spitting into the sink, LOL. My doctor said I could have anything that would fit through a straw, did you know sausage gravy watered down and pureed will go through a straw, slowly.
  24. Oh no VQ! Does your doc use the flouro, mine doesn't and he missed the port completely the first fill, I was scared to death he'd punctured my tube, but since then he always withdraws existing Fluid before inserting new. Well at least you know it's not you, it's the lack of restriction. What's the game plan if you've lost any of the fill?
  25. I never knew I had round shoulders, my mama warned me to hold these shoulders up. I'm going to order one of those things that clips the two straps together in the back in the middle, that'll fix them. Sally, too funny.
