cost?

Has anyone had to pay for lap band out of their pocket? If so, how much? What about Aetna ppo insurance? Any success with getting them to pay?

Hi L,

I was a self pay with Dr. Spivak in Houston. The total cost was $15,000, and that includes two years of fills.

He and his office staff are awesome.

Good Luck!

Same here...I used Dr. Spivak and I was self-pay. He is absolutely wonderful and his staff is great. If your insurance doesn't cover the surgery I would definitely go with him if you want a great experience with everything.
