  1. I asked if I would have to come back, not wanting to pay more. When I received the report after the session he went on about how aggressive I am. Guess I should not of asked about payment.
  2. I generally am a private, solitary person and keep most things to myself. That was to be my plan but my wife of course " who can't keep a secret" told her whole family which are known for the international grape vine. I really came close to saying the heck with it because of such trust issue and people in my affairs. I am still going through with it because I know in my position it really is a life or death issue.
  3. This actually is less than most protein drinks as many have 20g to 25g in a oz. There are just hundreds out there and the more lables you read on them you will see.
  4. But great question, took me a minute to figure out when I first saw it also. There are quite a few abbreviations on this site. Might not be to bad of a idea for a pinned wiki topic to explain each for a reference.
  5. Just love crackers and cheese or hot peppers. Always when dieting or trying to reduce food levels these would be my treat. Saltines rock!
  6. Thought everything was in order to finally submit package, then find out that my level was 5.2 which should be between .27 to 4.0. Now I have to get level down with prescription. Hmmm, I have been gaing about 10 lbs a year then within the last 8 months put on over 100 lbs. Well duh! Anyone else have this problem?
  7. Well skipped some days as we had a death in the family and had to travell up to New York for a couple of weeks. My lovely Neice passed after 20 days in a coma from a terrible car wreck. Only 15, had her whole life ahead of her. Anyways, I met with the Nut and had some eye opening experiences. Of course weight was expected to be where it normally is, only lost a couple pounds. But here is the kicker, i have been 6'2 all my life and she measured my height and it only said 6 foot. Huh!!! Well long story short, not only is my spine compressing but because the weight from my belly is pulling on it the spine is curving. Oh come on now!!! I can accept I am overweight but to lose height, I was shocked!
  8. Ok, so I have been to their site and average price is $21 to $23 a container. And Amazon is about a dollar higher at $22 to $23. Has anyone found better deal for Unjury? Also, the containers are only 1lb so that makes this protein option one of the highest costs out there. Yes, it is high in protein and the other nutrition is good but does anyone else think this is a bit high for our needs. I am finding other supplements that fit the same criteria but more affordable. More than welcome opions or anyone that has found better deals.
  9. It is a great drug. For years I had very bad acid reflux, just a drink of water would cause it. Laying down at night was horrible. Used to eat 20-50 Tums a day. Finally a Doctor prescribed Omeprazole (Prilosec). And I have never had reflux again. Be glad you got a 90 day supply, most only do a 30 day and that would cost 3 copays instead of one.
  10. Way to go! I think I may have this covered though. Walk into my closet and each section is a progression in weight. Always swore I would get back down. Accept this time when they are to big they are going out the door. Ha.
  11. When talking to the nut she stated this and I almost crumbled. Look I can handle the liquid diet, the small portions but take my joe away say it isn't so! I am about a pot of coffee aday and last time I went a day or two the headaches were terrible.
  12. Please let me be cold again, I can live with that side effect. Not only Summer but during the Winter months I always have people ask aren't you cold with only that short sleeve shirt? First, I have to ponder for a second and would like to hand them a " Here's your sign." but I turn and always say nope but I have plenty of insulation. It always brings a smile to them. Hey if you can not have fun with it.
  13. I am still on the count down to getting sleeved and you guys are great inspiration. BigJoe I am close to the same lines as you were and hope to get some of the same results.
  14. Congratulation on your victory! And hope the best for you, way to go.
  15. Glad everything with the surgery went fine. I hope your wife comes around for the support as this is a very important part. Just being on this forum will help for support and information. Seems you are tolerating the surgery very well which is great. This is a start of a new lifestyle and I am sure she will warm up to your changes soon.
  16. I have had a heart condition most of my life and after a heavy meal sometimes the body works harder than norm for digestion process. At least for me so sometimes do not feel well after meals. But like you stated could be too fast standing might have affected you.
  17. Might be from a heavy sauce but since you said from sitting to standing be careful of your blood pressure. It may of had a spike low or high, if possible monitor it.
  18. Had to do a upper GI test yesterday. Not to bad but the barium drink is wanting in texture (uuggghhh). Drank one bottle as told and all was fine. Then you have to wait for your stomach to release so they can see the mix go into the intestine. But of course since they said no eating or drinking after midnight I was very dehydrated. So we wait and check, wait and check, wait and check. Nothing just sat there and would not move, told ya I needed a drink of water. So the say just a minute and they mix up another bottle of plaster of Paris ( that was the consistency). Wonderful! Yuck! Yuck! Finally, about 5 more minutes the stomach releases an I can now go. Thanks alot. My stomach feel like a brick, only good part was for the rest of the day no hunger and did not even eat. Yall might want to patent that drink. If you can get it down you would be sure to lose weight. Of course one would have to like drinking Spackle.
  19. I have had to fight Atena every step of the way. Remember the people that approve or deny are not doctors but a hourly employee manning the phones. When ever they say no do not believe it just keep on going and fighting up the personnel chain till you get the right person to approve.
  20. Ditto! I have been telling my son we will wait for the dvd just because it is so painful to sit in the theaters narrow seats. All he wants is to see a movie at the theater with his Dad. I just can not break it to him it is because Dad is to big to fit in the seats, it sucks. But, I am in the program and soon will have the help I need. Then the day will come.
  21. Congrats to both of you! It is just in our nature as men we are more apt to lean to privacy than wanting praise. But secretly we know we all want the ataboy.
  22. Do not sweat it, I am starting with 62. Yes I am a bigin.
  23. To throw a baseball or football with my son and play all day. To see my daughters and son graduate from school. The seat thing I really get and numerous times have had to stand because they were to narrow.
  24. The band really is not suited for us who may be super heavy. I personally opted for the sleeve because I really needed the benefits of a bypass but felt the risk of a more invasive surgery was one reason it was ruled out. The sleeve still is still surgery nonetheless but less invasive with faster healing. This is just what suited my condition best.
  25. I am a very heavy Water drinker daily, no joke. Almost my whole life even when at a correct weight I would drink a minimum of a gallon a day. Most times even more per day. I asked my Doc about fluids after surgery and said no problem. So my question is after reading about others sipping small amounts at a time. Will I cut way back on this habit or would issues arise? It sounds funny but all my life my daily water intake has been much more than most.
