  1. I ha it and didn't walk to much, prob should have walked more, it really did help when I did. But literally the pain was piercing for me and day 7 it was gone. I was moving around more too, so I'm sure that helped. Thought it would never go away but day 7 gone! Sleeved 5/30 30lbs lost pre-op 15lbs lost post-op 45lbs total
  2. Duh it's from CarrieAnn
  3. NJSharon, I just friend requested you on facebook, thanks for making this group up! Also live in nj.
  4. Sleeve sister! I'm also may 30th!!!! We are getting so close!!!!
  5. So, I am heading out this weekend to get everything I need. I did not have to be on a pre-op diet. I already eat a very low carb diet now so the dr felt that was great! I didn't have to lose anything before I had the surgery however I decided I wanted to and lost 30lbs. I am keeping the surgery a secret to most so I want them to think I am just losing more weight. I also know the more weight the healthier I am on that operation table and that is important to me. Almost a week away and I am ready and very nervous. What is the scariest thing about the surgery to you guys?
  6. ahh 2 weeks feels like forever away. I am so anxious, nervous, excited and many other emotions. how do I make the time g o by faster. What should I focus on? Packing? Buying things I need? Help!
  7. You are having this surgery to be healthier and get yourself in better shape. I say go all out and just quit. You can do it!!!! I know it is easier said then done but I have faith in you! That you are strong enough to handle it. You are given a gift and approved by insurance! Don't possibly give them any reason to stop the surgery.good luck

  10. got approved this am by BCBS. Took 8 days which wasn't bad but I was starting to get nervous. Tomorrow I go for all my pre-op testing and have a surgery date scheduled for May 30. So close, yet so far! Can't wait to start this amazing journey!

  14. OMG!,, you guys read my mind. I am scheduled for May 30th and it feels like forever but I am getting nervous. I am also still on maternity leave from work and stay home with my twins who are 9 and a half months. It gives me way to much time to think. Second guess my decission and also dream about the new me and how amazing my new life will be. I feel all over the place with my thoughts when I'm not busy( not that the kids don't keep me busy) but you know what I mean. These next 33 days are going to be crazy.
  15. This is so nice to hear from all these May sleevers! Really makes it so real and exciting! It will be here before we know it girls! Yay!
  16. RawrrAshlee- I also have a tentative date of May 30th. I just hope to be approved by insurance right away. Lady there said my insurance shouldn't give a problem and I also live by you! Wonder if we have the same dr? I am Dr Chau in Plainsboro, who is your DR?
  17. NJSharon, I also live in NJ and have a surgery date in May. Looks like May 30 but I hope I can get in before( depends on insurance and they are switching over to a new hospital). Let's keep in contact and take our journey together.
  18. For those of you who needed to have an endoscopy. Did anyone end up having any problems? Thanks for you input.
  19. I have a dr I see for something other than weight loss. He is like Dr House from the tv show ( except much nicer). He is so smart and is just a walking book of all kinds of knowledge and facts. He is helping me with the surgery and supporting me through this ( having my surgery in may ). He swears by taking B-5, B-12, and rubbing lavender on your scalp, the hair loss will not happen or be much much less. Again I haven't had my surgery yet so I don't know if it works but I promise I will be doing this before surgery just in case. He truly is the most educated/ smartest person I know. Hope this is helpful for someone!
