Starbuck's Skinny Caramel Macchiato
Love their caramel macchiatos! I haven't tried a skinny one yet. I have been sticking to the soy lattes post surgery, but I may give that one a try. Congrats on your size 8, that is amazing.

Panic Mode!
I stalled on the scale right after surgery for over 3 weeks. It was frustrating but also I noticed my clothes fitting loser even with scale not moving. You may want to talk to your surgeon about increasing your calories. Such a low amount may cause your body to not burn as much. I moved up to 800 to 1000 and started losing again.

- Tips And Tricks For 64 Oz Liquid Requirement?
Thanks for the suggestions!- Leak 4Ever?!
This doesnt seem right to me. I thought all leaks had to stopped or there is pain and infection. If your surgeon said that you may want to consult another.- Tips And Tricks For 64 Oz Liquid Requirement?
I am almost 2 months out and struggle with my water. Pre surgery i would chug water and down 16 oz in no time. Now I sip sip sip but it is slow and i get bored and stop or forget. I dont like artificial sweeteners, I love iced tea but fear the dehidrating qualities. I drank a vitamin water the other day and it was so good and I finished quickly but so much sugar. Does anyone have good ideas on a varity of ways to get in liquids without artificial sweetener since these dont go down well for me.- February Sleeves How Are You Doing?
I was thinking if getting some goal clothes for my July vacation too! We can count those chicks together. My clothes are so baggy now you cant tell I lost anything.- Getting Sleeved In The Morning :)
Best of luck to you! You have done great already and I am sure you will do great the rest of your journey.- How Do I Block Posts From One User?
I must have missed it. Glad it was taken care of so fast!- Follow Up Appointments
I had follow up 2 weeks, 1 month after that and have one schedule for 3 months after that one. I think there will probably be more but then I can just go to my primary occasionally to keep an eye on my vitamins, etc. One thing to note, not sure if this matters as I am not an insurance expert, but my surgery was on 2/7 and my last claim for it was just processed last week by my insurance company. The follow up visits were covered as part of my surgery up to 3 months out, then I have to pay my copay again and submit the visit to insurance.- Hey Family
That is great! Keep up the awesome work.- February Sleeves How Are You Doing?
I am feeling great! Still struggling to get all my liquids in between meals, but doing great with my protein. I had a long stall, but increased my calories to about 1000 and started losing again. I am trying to do 4 to 5 meals a day to get my protein and calories in. I had trouble with getting my protein with 3 meals a day so my doctor said it was fine to do 5 small meals, so much easier! My clothes are getting so baggy, it is awesome.- Craving Chocolate ...help
Sugar free chocolate pudding is my go to or a small piece of dark chocolate. 1 small piece will help with the craving usually for me.- How Do You Take Pills Post Op?
I got a pill crusher that basically turned my prevacid into a powder that I mixed into a spoonful of chocolate sugar free pudding. I didn't start swallowing it whole until week 3. My vitamins are chewable including a gummy vitamin D. My doctor said not to swallow any pills larger than my pinky fingernail.- What Did I Just Throw Up?
There should always be a doctor on call. It may not be your surgeon but someone. I think you should call for sure. Vomiting that color is a concern with or without a sleeve. Hope it turns out to be nothing, but you can't be too careful.- Pre-Op And Alcohol
The only concern I would think of is your liver. Over a week before surgery I would think would be fine as long as you are not overdoing it. You want your liver to be as healthy as possible when you have surgery. If you are really concerned, give your surgeon's office a call to be sure.- The Pain?
There is pain of course, but I thought it was pretty tolerable. It hurts to get up or sit for about 2 weeks but once sitting or standing I didn't have much pain. Everyday the pain was less. I had a button to press in the hospital for pain meds and I used it a lot! That is what it is there for. I took the prescription pain meds for about 3 days after I got home (I was in the hospital for 1 day). Then I used Tylenol off and on for another 2 weeks. It took a good month before I didn't have any more pain when moving and towards the end it was only when I would bend down. Just keep in mind everyone heals differently and your pain could be more or last longer, but it might not mean anything is wrong. Have you had any type of surgery before?- When Can You Drive Again?
The only restriction to driving was to be off the pain meds. I had surgery on a Tuesday and switched to liquid Tylenol on Saturday so I could drive on Monday. By that time Tylenol was enough to take care of the pain for me. It was uncomfortable getting in and out of the car for a few weeks, but it wasn't too bad.- Has Anyone Else Never Thrown Up?
Thanks everyone! It feels better to hear from others. I am so glad my sleeve is so tolerant and hope it keeps up.- What Is Your Acid Reducer Of Choice?
I am curious what side effects you had with prevacid if you dont mind sharing. I was taking prevacid for years and wonder if some issues i have were missed as a side effect.- Has Anyone Else Never Thrown Up?
I was told and I was prepared to throw up after VSG. I read on here it happens a lot. I am 7 weeks out and havent vomitted once. I am glad, dont get me wrong but i want to hear there are others who never have. I feel like i eat normally now just smaller sizes so i am not eating just soft and i do feel restriction. It makes me feel like maybe i am doing something wrong.- Starbucks/ Panera Suggestions
The tall latte with skim milk or soy milk will be about the same sugar wise. I like the richer flavor of the soy but skim milk will have a couple more protein. I skip the sugarfree syrups because i dont care for them. Best bet low cal no sugar is the house coffee black. But wheres the fun with that!- Watching Ppl Eat Is Gross
Same problem I stress over the size of thebites everyone is taking and how fast. I had these beef tenderloin bacon bite things. I cut it into 8 pieces for me. My husband picked one up and put one whole one in his mouth! I had a panic moment. I sometimes feel sick when i see the quantity they eat. I was out tonight and had 3 wings and other people at the table at 15! I know it is all in my head.- Does Anyone Know How Long The Procedure Actually Takes?
Mine was about an hour and half from when they wheeled me back also. Then a little over an hour in recovery. My nurse said it was best to tell my family it would be about 3 hours so they wouldn't worry if it went over a few minutes or something.- Happy, Excited, Worried.............
Congrats on your license! I had a Superbowl party at my house 2 days before I was sleeved, man that was tough, but it was a small price to pay to get healthy. I find it is easier to resist temptation after being sleeved personally. First, I don't have the constant hunger I felt before surgery. Second, for me, there is a big difference between I shouldn't eat that and I can't eat that. I really don't want to get sick, so I take every precaution not to overeat and make myself sick. I have not had the test of a big family holiday yet, but I have had some get togethers with my friends and resisted all the temptations! I find that food is still enjoyable, but I make much wiser decisions about what I am eating since there is so little of it every bit needs to count. - Tips And Tricks For 64 Oz Liquid Requirement?
