  1. I drink a bottle of sparkling water everyday. Like La Croix or H2Oh. No problems!
  2. I am at 2 months out here are some examples of what entire meal is for me A typical meal for me is: 3/4 of a small fuit and yogurt parfait from mcdonalds 1 slice of toast (crusts cut off) with 1-2 tablespoons of Peanut Butter 1/2 cup of cottage cheese 1 baby bell cheese and about 2 inches of a banana 12-20 hormel turkey pepperoni 1/3- 1/2 a regular hard shell taco- light on toppings 2-3oz of tuna with miracle whip with 4 small crackers. 1 egg (scrambled, poached, hard boiled) and lots of other things I can't think of right now!!!
  3. Slower can be better for your skin! the weight will come off don't worry! You lost a lot pre-op so your body is probably just being stingy with letting pounds go now. Hang in there and keep on doing what you know you are supposed to do! This is just the beginning!
  4. Amazing! Congrats!!!
  5. Turkey Pepperoni is my go to!
  6. I had surgery Tuesday Aug 9th and went back Monday Aug 15th, I work at a family practice clinic. I felt fine!
  7. I am almost 2 months out and I have had a latte everyday since 2 weeks out and I have had 3 beers total post op on different occasions. I have had outstanding weight loss and I no problems whatsoever.
  8. I agree with Rootman 100%, My surgeon laughed when I asked if it would stretch out the sleeve. I have a total of maybe 6oz of diet pop per week.
  9. I have only gotten the slimes 4 times, and everytime it was a small amount of dense protein-- beef jerky, roast beef, turley breast and turkey pepperoni. I did not chew well enough. Nothing else even phases me!
  10. I did this, just like 2 or 3oz a day I was fine. Watch out if you have acid reflux cause OJ is very acidic!
  11. Does any one else notice that when you eat a little too fast or don't chew well enough you sneeze or need to blow your nose? Is this just me??? Odd!!
  12. mine was around week three, and it lasted 12 days!! it was scary but since the stall I have dropped 15lbs, at about 1/2 pound per day. It will break don't worry. Yours might be earlier if you lost more weight that others pre-op.
  13. I broke the 3rd week stall about 8 days ago and lost an easy 12 lbs!! I can't believe I am half way there. 35lbs was post op and 15 pre-op!!!!! Yay!
  14. I was instructed to start it at 6 weeks out (yesterday!) and to take it weekly. Mine is OTC. :-)
  15. thanks guys! I feel better already! I am going to try to up the cals a bit and try some weight lifting.
  16. I am a little upset! I have a fancy 490 dollar body composition scale that tells you how much fat, muscle, viseral, water, etc weight you have. My body fat % has gone from 48.7% at 245lbs to 50.5% at 214lbs, and says I have lost almost 12lbs of muscle mass. But is it good to work out if I am only eating 500-700 calories a day? I am worried and I don't want to lose any more muscle. I am going to refocus on my protien intake, any other suggestions?
  17. My surgeon recommends not drinking it but he said it will not harm you, it may slow weight loss. I have had sips of diet coke a few times and its definately a treat!
  18. I do get hungry, but the big difference is when you start eating mushies and solids you get full and satified on so little its laughable.
  19. You will be just fine. I got through it alone. I was engaged until early 2011 and we split. I decided to get the surgery shortly after. Your life is about to change for the better, and you will have to focus on yourself and your weight loss instead of the pain of your heartbreak. Plus, you are preparing for a new life, and possibly new love too, and just think how much more pleasant it is going to be with a new body you are proud of! Do this for your self!!
  20. I agree. I am only 6 weeks out and mine have almost dissapeared! I doubt anyone will notice.
  21. if you're a little further out and can't tolerate protien drinks like me-- I eat a lot of Turkey Pepperoni, Imitation Crab, and Beef Jerkey. Yummy
  22. Hi, I was sleeved on the 9th of Aug! I am down a total of 32lbs since surgery, 47 overall since the pre-op diet. I am VERY lucky and I can tolerate ANYTHING in small quantities, if I chew it well. I have expirenced "sliming" on 3 occasions-- when i ate something and forgot I was sleeved and didnt chew well enough-- It was beef jerky and turkey pepperoni and beef roast. Any tough meat I forget to chew well is a problem. 99% of the time I remember and chew well. I am happy because a typical meal is a string cheese, a yogurt, 8 slices of turkey pepperoni, etc. I have saved a lot of money on food. Everyone keeps telling me how "skinny" I am, and it quite frankly makes me feel a little uncomfortable. I suppose I better get used to it!!!!
  23. I had my surgery on Tuesday and went back Monday, I would have been ok that Sunday too.
  24. I had it too, I loved it but after 3 years I lost all sex drive, but bf couldn't handle it. I had it removed and in one month I dropped 13lbs and was the horniest girl alive!
