  1. Yayyyy!! Congrats to you, I'm so thrilled for you! :cheer2:
  2. :welcome: Hi, I went to Dr Kelly to be sleeved in May and I am very happy with my decision. Please see my very detailed day by day experience in MX on my profile page in the "about me" section. I also have a few pics in my gallery. Good luck!!
  3. Congrats Meggie, you are doing very well!!! How wonderful that you got to go to Hawaii, I have always wanted to go there. I don't think you're a slow loser at all, 65 lbs, wow!!! That's awesome!
  4. Congrats on being sleeved!! Wishing you an easy, speedy recovery!
  5. You look great, congrats!!!
  6. Such an amazng journey you've had!!! I am super duper happy for you!! Congrats!!
  7. Julia, thanks for the update. It's amazing how long that gas lingers! I hope it keeps getting easier everyday for you and I'm glad it was nothing to be worried about.
  8. I have been enjoying doing exercise videos and my Wii for the dance games. You can just experiment and find exercises you actually enjoy doing so you'll be more likely to stick with it. Getting plenty of protein should help with this too.
  9. I gave up sodas way before surgery, and I haven't started back on them. I am not even tempted! I got tired of the fruity drink mixes, so I tried Lipton Diet green Tea. I am hooked! It does't taste like regular tea. This has taken the place of a 40 yr Mt Dew habit for me.
  10. You are doing so well Tex!! I'm very happy for you!
  11. Congrats, it's great that they're supporting you!
  12. Try to take it easy, seems this would happen to me if I over did it or lifted something fairly light. Let me know what the dr says and keep a watch on your temp but it doesn't sound like a leak to me. Feel better soon!
  13. Congrats on the 60lbs and the new sizes, that's awesome!!! The stalls do suck but I've had to learn to deal with. Seems I stall more than lose but it's still losing, slowly but surely!! I seem to be doing well with sizes too, so that helps a lot!!! Have a great time on the cruise!!
  14. Wow, you are looking fabulous!! Congrats!
  15. Congrats on being sleeved!! I know it's nice to be home.
  16. Glad you are sleeved and wishing you a speedy recovery!!
  17. Awesome NSV!!! :cheer2:
  18. Congrats, so happy for you!! I keep ssying 2011 is my yeay too. To love me, take care of me, and become healthy. I look forward to hearing about your experience!
  19. Absolutely!! I struggle with self doubt all the time, especially during the longer stalls. I have to constantly remind myself there are other measures of my success and trying to learn patience. Its not one of my better virtues.
  20. A lot of it has to do with self-esteem and self love. And from what you said about your parents, you are seeking their approval and love, which of course we all want and need. I can totally relate to this!! No matter what they say or how much they judge you or criticize you, they still love you. Some people just don't know how to communicate this properly. Just work on loving yourself and taking care of yourself. I know this is harder than it sounds and it may require therapy. I know for me, I don't think I actually felt I was worth it. Like I somehow didn't deserve to be happy anf healthy. I was always putting everyones needs or wants ahead of my own and actually thought it was a good thing and it made me a good person. But I do deserve to be happy and healthy, and so do you!! Take care of yourself!
  21. In the beginning especially acid can be a problem. You can check with your dr, but a lot of then prescribe these meds immediately post op.
  22. Congrats on being sleeved!! Good to hear you're doing well.
  23. Congrats!!! You have done amazingly well!! Do you mind sharing what's working well for you in regards to how much in calories, protein, carbs, water, exercise you have done to aid in your success? It would help a lot of us so much, when you get the time. Way to rock your sleeve!
  24. The anesthesioligist was tapping my arm trying to wake me up and I yelled at him OW!!!! Stop it!!!! Haha i don't even remember doing it but he and my sis got a chuckle out of it.
  25. You look great and have definitely rocked your sleeve, congrats!!!
