  1. I love reading WLS blogs. Especially some of them that you gals/guys have. Post your own blog and your favorites here.
  2. I also wanted to know if the stitches would come out or the stomach would stretch. Is it possible to pop your stitches by overeating? Does this surgery have a risk of leaks? My other question is I'm nursing my 2 year old and I believe strongly in child-led-weaning. Will I be able to continue to nurse him after the surgery? Will he take away too many calories? I've heard that toxins are stored in your fat cells, if he is nursing when I am losing weight will he consume these toxins?
  3. Congrats! That's just a great NSV!
  4. Can't wait to see you in your dress. Beautiful ring, congrats to both of you!
  5. What are the names of the products you use?

  7. A simular thing happened when I had my first child. Before I had my son I was the primary breadwinner and I did everything for myself. Infact, my husband has all the brains but I know how to do stuff and actually did everything without asking for help. Once my baby was born the roles shifted and I didn't know quite where I fit in. We tried the "he is provider, I'm the mom" thing but it just didn't work. I was and am an independant person. It seems like with your weight loss the roles are shifting and he's just trying to figure out where he fits into things. I'm really not trying to say that you should treat him like a child but maybe he doesn't feel needed and you could find ways to let him know that he is valuable to you. At the same time I would firmly let him know that you can do these things and you aren't a child/breakable when those situations arise and you don't need his help.
  8. No words of wisdom here but I can understand where you are coming from <<<Hugs>>>
  9. I got a blood clot back in 03 and a pulmonary embolism as a result. First if you are a smoker stop now and dont eat/take a lot of Vit K. Moving your legs, massaging them, walking, moving toes, lifting them up will help. My blood clot felt like achy pain behind my knees and it would get better if I moved. I also felt a sense of doom which they say is common. When it went ot my lungs I couldnt' breath. Take some baby asprine with you as a blood thinner and move around a lot.
  10. I have never been on a plane before and it just occured to me that I might have to buy more than one seat. I'm 5'6" and 265. I fit into all other seats just fine but I've heard airplanes are smaller. I would be mortified to get there and find I need an extra seat at the last minute. Do you think I would need to buy an extra seat?
  11. You are making good progress just keep your head down and your rear off the scale
  12. I love your updates! I am planning on using Dr Aceves too so it's great to hear what it might be like.
  13. I think of new things all the time. I haven't set my date yet but I feel like I'm getting close to having the money. Being about to soak in a bathtub, fully covered, without Water spilling out. Wearing cute cheap clothes Being flirtted with by men again My stomach not sitting on my lap Having a slim face so I can get any hair cut I want Wearing shorts in the summer and shorter skirts Fitting into booths comfortably Eating a small amount of food and feeling full Did I mention cheap clothing? Having more energy
  14. Congrats, I didn't know Erlanger did the surgeries. I'm outside of Knoxville. Who was your surgeon?
  15. I am in the same boat. I haven't found a way to pay for my surgery yet but I have been on these boards every day for almost two months now. When something that is weight related happens I just say to myself, soon I will be thin, and it just rolls of my back. I constantly think of what I'll beable to do once I get thinner like joining a hiphop dance class and walking for miles and miles. I'm right there with you on obsessing.
  16. Wow, that's terrible. I hope you find answers. I would get your medical records asap. I had a simular case with my ankle surgery and they "accidently destoryed" my records before I could get them. Contact legal help asap.
  17. I am so sorry to hear that. I am thinking of you.
  18. If I remember right Ramen is made with MSG, if that's a issue for you or not I don't know.
  19. You post brought tears to my eyes. I can't wait to be where you are. You should be so proud of all you have done!
  20. Sorry you didn't get the support or reaction you had hoped, Mini. You can see you weight loss is amazing and I'd say most people were just jealous or perhaps uncomfortable. We are here for you and I think you are doing amazing!
