  1. Treat yourself and your family to a housekeeper. I'm a housekeeper myself and most clients are regular biweekly but I also have done after surgery, funerals, births and before parties. People say it's the best thing they have gotten for themselves. My Mom is coming over to help me with my housekeeping I just need to get it in order before I go!
  2. I'd love to have a good calendar on my computer to keep track of my progress. Anyone know of a good one?
  3. If you have stickyfingers or can order it, it is amazing!
  4. I'm required to do a 1 week, low carb (less than 20g/day) but since I have been eating everything in sight I am starting tomorrow. I feel like throwing out all the junk food so I won't be tempted!
  5. I just bought the magic bullet yesterday! I can't wait to use it!
  6. So glad you are doing well, I was thinking of you the other day and then voila this post!
  7. Great post and congrats for all the work you have done!
  8. Even easier is to get your favorite cut of any kind of meat, throw it in a crockpot, cover with any kind of broth. Cook until it can pull apart with a fork then add BBQ sauce. You can use shoulders, ribs meat, chicken, pork, rump, anything and it is delish!
  9. They have crystal light w/o artificial flavors/sweetners in grape and someother kind.
  10. Ordered the chicken soup broth today! Thanks for the idea!
  11. Thinking of you Mary, I know you will do great!
  12. Yeah my aunt and mom both thought I should get my passport just incase something like 911 happened. I didn't want to be held up at the border. So I got mine it was 100 extra to expidite and it's here. A lot of ppl go w/o passport and just use their DL and other documentation.
  13. That's what I was gonna say!
  14. I expedited mine and I just recieved it today. I applied on the 10th of September.
  15. I don't see why anyone would flame you and I don't consider any of that to be part of being PC. I haven't had my surgery and I already know it will make many things easier. I will spend less on clothing, have more energy, I will spend less time beating myself up, and yes, I will make more money. I have missed a lot of jobs because they chose the less qualified skinny girl. I do know that being skinny won't fix me being bad with money or my addictive personality though. So yes, being skinny will fix a lot but not everything.
  16. I love these threads too! Here are some of mine. Taking a bath in a regular sized bathtub and being all the way underwater. Wearing heels with everything! Being able to buy cute/fashionable clothes for cheap. Borrowing clothes from friends. Having my lap back so I can hold both my kids on it. Sit in the carseat without leaning to one side. The relief on my back once I lose some weight Wearing sundresses again. Eating tiny portions instead of scarfing food down Seeing people I haven't seen in years while thin.
  17. Yeah, that. I'm just over 36 hours of not having a smoke and it's sooo hard. I think about it at least once an hour. How are you coming along?
  18. I haven't gone yet, I go on the 8th of Oct but i'll be sure to update y'all!
  19. That's great Calgarygirl, we can use all the support we can get!
  20. Yep, I've looked everywhere. Walmart, CVS and walgreens. The area where I live is mostly white so I'm wonder if that is why they don't carry it. :w00t:
  21. I decided to tell my family and my best friends. Everyone has been very supportive. I thought I would get hell from my brother but he is excited for me. Once I have the surgery and people see me dropping weight I will probably tell them about the surgery. I'm handling this much in the same way I handled my homebirth. I told those who would need to know and then afterwords I spoke more freely about it. It keeps a lot of the "you are going to die!" and other stupid comments away but allows you to also speak to the benifits of the surgery so that someone else may see the path you are on and follow.
  22. I've looked everywhere for Magic Powder around here. They just don't sell it
  23. I have 120 to lose. That would put me at 150lbs which is A OK with me!
  24. This is yummy. Get some rotissory chicken and shread it up then on the stove simmer together equal parts hot sauce and butter. Pour it over your chicken and add a little blue cheese or range to it.
