  1. Kat - No, we didn't ask anyone, we just did it. I have to say that we live in a cul-da-sac though, and it is uphill too. All the parents of the kids loved the idea that they could stop at the bottom and get stuff from 5/6 houses and not walk all the way up. We love it because it's another excuse to have a party for all of us!:tsk:
  2. Welcome to bandland, and to LBT! This site was the final decision for me to get banded, the support was great and everyone helped me so much! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:
  3. Congrats to you on the date! Start reading everything you can and you'll know exactly what you need and what to expect! Good luck and keep us posted!
  4. Me too Leatha! Somewhere along the line I got comfortable and stopped watching things so closely. If you find it again, send it my way too!:tsk:
  5. Wow Sherry, what a difference! You look great girl! I bet that new hubby of yours can't keep his hands off! :tsk:
  6. Good Morning Y'all! Not much new here, just working and working! I am getting ready to run to the store for a few things, then to the bank. My DB and DSIL are coming over and we are going out for lunch.:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: I just love spending time with them! Eileen - Gosh girl, I feel so bad for you, I sure hope the pain gets better for you soon. I know how miserable you feel, and unless you have been through it, you just don't know. I'm glad your DH got you something to help you, but still don't over do it. Does a heating pad help you? The Doc told me not to stand or walk on it unless absolutely necessary. I have to wear inserts in my shoes, and he wants to put harder ones in soon. I told him he would just have to wait for a while until my feet get used to these. You don't take feet that has been flat all these years and put something hard under them, he agreed. So, I am just taking it easy, short walking to store etc. No daily walks for me which I miss dearly! Well, I am going to come back later to do some personals, I want to get to the store before everyone else does! It gets pretty crowded here! Later!

Owwwwwie, that hurts just reading it!
  8. We block off our street, haul out the grills, bring food, all the neighbors party and at the end of the street we meet the kids and pass out candy. It's a fun time, we always look forward to it here. :) :Banane10:
  9. A "Big Howdy" from one Texan to another! Welcome to LBT! :) My DM always said "Good things come to those who wait", congrats to you!
  10. Welcome to LBT! Congrats on the banding, sounds like you are doing great!
  11. Welcome to LBT and to bandland! Great weight loss! :) You know that old saying "we don't care how you got here, just so you made it?" Well, we are glad you made it regardless of where you were banded!:Banane10:
  12. Welcome to LBT and congrats on the surgery date! Please keep your snow there, I don't want any of it! :) Burrrrrr it sounds so cold!:biggrin1:
  13. Totally normal, if fact most of the time it takes several fills before you will feel much restriction. Relax!
  14. Good Morning Y'all! Well the rain has stopped for now, boy it was nice getting so much though. Today in the high 80's so I imagine it will be hot and humid. Beanie - Hey congrats on the exercise! I actually miss doing it, something I never though I would say! Cindy - Congrats on the w/l! You are doing so great! Eileen - How goes the back? Gosh, I honestly know how bad it hurts you! I wish I was closer, I'd come give you a hand and do a good massage on you! Mary - Good to see you posting! I think it is a good thing they got to see their dad, even if it was for just a little while. I think it hurts kids so much when one parent just walks away. They might not act like it, but it does deep inside where they don't let anyone else see. Glad things are looking up for you! Kat - Gosh, it sounds good that DH can do so much already! That is good news! You must be exhausted with all you have on your plate right now. Don't forget to take some time for yourself! Mandy - Sorry to hear about your cat, hopefully you can keep it just a little longer. I think losing a pet is like losing a part of your family, they are so much like one of us. Dianne - Have you kept track of what you are pbing on? Is it the same thing all the time or different stuff? I don't like pbing at all! Sherry - Breathe! Now, take another big breath! :) You need to slow down and smell the roses lady! It will all still be there, don't worry! :D Darcy - Hey girl, how are you feeling now? Maybe you told me and I missed it! Hope you are doing better! Pat - How are those GK doing? Hope they are adjusting to the new life! Opps, I am 5 minutes late leaving! Later y'all, take care and have a great day!
  15. Wow, that is the first time I have heard of a limit on water, usually they tell you to drink it all the time. It is so easy to get dehydrated if you don't keep drinking it. I would double check with your doctor and ask him though. Every doctor has their own rules, and you need to follow what yours tells you.
  16. Welcome to bandland! I'm glad things went so well for you!:clap2: :clap2:
  17. Welcome to bandland, and congrats on the 17 pounds! Way to go!
  18. Congrats on your surgery date! Welcome to LBT!:biggrin1: :biggrin1:
  19. I have heard of some that has had it done, but I would assume it would depend on how much surgery you have had, the condition you are in, and what doctor you have.
  20. Welcome to LBT! Congrats on your surgery date! :plane: :phone:
  21. Welcome to LBT and good luck with your surgery! :plane:
  22. Congrats to you! Don't forget to come and let us know how your surgery went!
  23. Welcome to LBT and to bandland! Good luck with your band!:biggrin1:
  24. Welcome to bandland! Just remember that this is a support board and a lot of people who never have problems don't post while a lot that have had some problems do. Good Luck!
  25. Welcome to bandland! I sure hope things go better for you now! What an experience to have your spleen nicked!
