Hi everyone,

I had my first visit with Dr. Spivak on 11.30.05. I had a few problems with insurance but that is supposed to be straightened out now. I should be approved any day now and I hope to have surgery the last week of October. I am very excited and scared at the same time. I have been reading posts off and on since last November so I feel like I know most of you. I haven't posted very often but I plan to be regular from now on.

I look forward to getting to know all of you!

Hi and welcome to LBT! Congratulations on your decision to get the lap band. You are already off to a great start by reading the threads and learning as much as you can. I suggest reading all the "stickies" at the top of most of the forums, as they are loaded with valuable information. Hey everyone I'm new also to the system here, and I've been pre op for about 3 months now having had my seminar then consulation twice two different doctors one in my network and one out of my network then after another a months wait on insurance I was told I needed to have a phycological eval so now hopefully 4 more weeks to approval!

Huberslave, that is great. Sounds like you are getting closer to bandland every day.

yea I sure hope so all this waiting gives me to much time to think and when I think on something to long especially this surgery it scares me to death and in some cases I back out!! But I don't think I will this time I've reached an all time high of 360 and I want to at least be around 200 and in my opinion I cant do it alone.
