  7. They band does not Make you lose weight it helps you lose weight. It will not stop you from eating in most cases. You still have to work hard on your self control and making healthy choices. The band when properly filled will help you feel satisfied for longer periods of time. The calories you intake along with the food you choose and exercise are what makes you lose.
  8. Yeah I agree muscle weighs more then fat but burns calories faster. Make sure you are checking your measurements and how your clothes fit.

  13. I think the Paleo is hard to manage on half cup servings but little by little I find myself changing some of the things I prepare and eat by paying attention to what IP does. I am sure you can friend her on My fitness pal to see her meals. She also often posts her meals in our recipe group. If you like to join just friend me at hely lb in face book. I have started a Paleo folder of recipes. It is a work in process.

  16. It does not happen to me as much now, but if I think I have head hunger I really do try to redirect my brain by doing something or go for a walk. I also try to drink water and that often helps.
  17. Make sure you move and walk as much as possible to get rid of the gas pains. Do not take a laxative unless you need one and if you do ask your doctor what you should take. I was the opposite and needed Imodium. You may want to use gas-x strips or chewable. I am four years out and some times I still get pain in the back of my left shoulder. It means I either have to stop eating or I ate too much. It will get much better just keep moving. Congrats and best of luck.
  18. I have been banded for 4 years. I have no excuse but I did not stick with it. Forward to now. In October I got my a small fill, got my doctor's guidelines got back on track measuring and tracking my foods. About two weeks later I took my tracked days and saw a nutritionist who works with my band doctor. I also drink lots of water. I have done really well and I am 95.2 lbs down. You just have to really want this and make sure you eat like you are supposed to and stay in touch with your doctor. I wish you best of luck. You can do it!
  19. I did the same thing, got back on track and I am doing really well. If I can do it anyone can. Best of luck to you!!
