Help Please. Need New Exercise Routine.

Recommended Posts

I got banded on Nov 2nd 2012...so about 5 mos ago. I've lost around 70 lbs already since then but I have been finding myself less motivated lately. Since Nov the only exercise I've done is walking on the treadmill for an hour four times a week. My question for you is...our there any other exercises I can do to loose weight with out gaining muscle?? I don't know if this is true but my Dr. Wants me to stay away from anything making me gain muscle since for the 1st year they want me to loose as much fat as possible. Can anyone help me. I'm bored with treadmill and lost with coming up with options.

Thanks

I do cardio games on Wii and whenever I go somewhere I park at the end of the parking lot. If there are stairs I climb the stairs. Just start making small changes and ease your way. Course walking always a good option if you are able to.

Have you ever tried biking? For me, its the best "exercise" ever! Love it. The calorie burn is really good for the time, once you get your heart rate to a good point. I started slow about a year ago, maybe a mile or two at a time. In a years time, you'll be amazed at what you can do.

Think a medium priced bike, go into a cycling shop and see all the different kinds, try a couple out on a test ride around the lot. Maybe AFTER deciding what type/size suits you best, look around. Craigslist and used cycle shops sometimes have good deals on them. You don't have to spend a small fortune on one, but get one that fits you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
