1. I just found out I was pregnant a couple of weeks ago and really im on here just to get some feedback on being pregnant with the band. I've been banded since Nov 2012 and have lost about 80 lbs. I just some advise, comments, anything really. One of my initial questions is how does it feel you know with us having a port and all. Does it pop out can the baby damage it? Thanks -Roxie
2. Thanks guys. I needed to hear all that positive reinforcement. I need to get back on it for me#
3. I was banded in November of 2012 by Dr Carcamo. I'm in SA! #gsg
4. So I was banded in November of 2012 and I started off at 267lbs got down to 169lbs. Then about 6 mos ago I dont know what happened to where my sugar cravings havr gotten the best of me. I fimd myself wanting all the things I know I shouldn't eat. Also I'm afraid of having any complications with my band. My husband says he noticed that I eat faster now. Which is not good. I need to know that there is hope to get back on track. I jave gained 12lbs back and I can feel it. Please I need some advice or just some words of encouragement. I have know other person in my life who understands what I'm going through with the lapband.
5. Sorry it took me so long to reply but I would love to have a banded buddy. I haven't had the chance to share this journey with anyone I think it would onky help to share best practices.
6. I was banded 11.2.13 and I'm realizing that I need a buddy that knows what I'm going through. About 40 lbs away from goal and its hard. Started at 267lbs down to 168lbs just need someone to relate to and get some new in site from. Found myself on a bit of a set back and I need to get refocused again

8. I was banded exactly one year and 2 days ago by Dr Carcamo in San Antonio through True Results. I have nothing but great things to say about both the surgeon and the staff at TR. So far I have lost around 100lbs in this year. For me I wouldn't take back my decision of getting banded because its a great tool to get your life back. I was weighing at my heaviest 270 lbs and im only 5'2. Needless to say I had no energy for anything. Im not going to lie and say its been easy but nothing is ever easy. Take the 6 mos of surgery prep and really think about why you want the surgery. I dont want to sound negative or anything but the lapband is a tool its not a get skinny quick scheme. If the tool isnt being used the right way it wont work. As long as you listen to the do's and don'ts and follow them you will be very successful. If you have any questions send me a message. -Roxie

19. Just wanted to share my before and after photo 80lbs down. Banded Nov 2012 :-D 30lbs aways from goal.
20. When I was 20 or so I was diagnosed with Pcos and I rarely had a menstrual cycle. I was about 260 lbs and miserable. I had all the horrible sytems that came along with having Pcos: facial hair, dark patches on skin, diabetes and more. But thank God I got banded in November 2012 and since then I've lost 80lbs. For the past three mos I've been having my regular menstrual cycle and bye bye dark spots. I've been really happy and grateful to my band it literally gave me my life back. Oh and btw I don't have diabetes any more either. If you keep up with your eating and exercise the band will help you tremendously. It worked for me. Best if luck to you.
21. Since November 2012 I've lost 80 lbs and now that I'm 30 lbs away from my goal of 138 I'm stuck it a plateau. Is there any advice anyone can give me to give me an extra boost to shed those last few pounds. Exercise and nutrition help is needed. Thanks

23. I got banded on Nov 2nd 2012...so about 5 mos ago. I've lost around 70 lbs already since then but I have been finding myself less motivated lately. Since Nov the only exercise I've done is walking on the treadmill for an hour four times a week. My question for you is...our there any other exercises I can do to loose weight with out gaining muscle?? I don't know if this is true but my Dr. Wants me to stay away from anything making me gain muscle since for the 1st year they want me to loose as much fat as possible. Can anyone help me. I'm bored with treadmill and lost with coming up with options. Thanks
24. That is one thing I do need to work on...I find myself always comparing myself to other banders but I just want to be where my doc wants me to be. I should be getting another fill January 9th so maybe then I'll be closer in the green zone
25. @zinhaa how much fluid do you have in your band?
