Over the counter meds with a Band
Unfortunately I take a lot of medications. I never had any trouble after surgery. Instead of taking all at once which I still do today while I was healing I just had to take one at a time and I waited about a minute in between. A side bar about Tylenol. I am only allowed to take this. I always take the arthritis stregnth. For some reason CVS only carries their brand right now which works for me fine.

Meds
I just have to add my two sense so sorry if you already know this. Never ever cut or crush any medication over the counter or not unless cleared by a doctor or probably even better a pharmacist. Never!

Puree Stage....Suggestions????
- Im really upset
You can do it. This is a marathon not a sprint!!- Fluro Fill
Sorry my post seems a bit sloppy- Fluro Fill
When I got back on track flouro was required before I could get a fill. I can not afford to do this every time I am filled. The nurse said as long as I come in regularly or I email or talk to her I can get small fills in the office. I know she wont give me more then .25 and that was plenty last time. I cant afford to go regularly to see her I definitely cant afford flouro. I do know some people who have doctors that require it once a year.- My paperwork is final and being sent to my Insurance!!
Hey Congrats on this step of your process. You have a great attitude and you can do anything if you want it bad enough. Keep us posted!!- What do I need???
My only suggestion is too stop every once and a while to get out and walk . Walking is so important and will help you get rid of some of those terrible gas pains. Don't be in a hurry and drive a route where you can stop when needed. Best of luck to you keep us posted.- Gas
Best advice I can give you is to move as much as possible and take gas x. Walk walk walk and then if you can walk some more. Even now 4 years out I get bad gas pains sometimes and this is what I still do. Hope you feel better.- fill question
Got nothing to add these ladies are giving you excellent advice.- Advice for problem keeping food down?
Good advice! Doctors right away!!- Banding Tomorrow
Try not to be too nervous. You will do great. Make sure you have all your liquids ready to go along with tylenol and gas-x strips or chewable. Try to walk as much as possible once it is done. Take care and let us know how you do!- First fill
No sweat you bill be fine. Don't look at the needle its no way near as bad as it looks. Be prepared for at least one day of liquids, then mushy before back to solids. Congrats on this big step!- Weird
Yeah it's crazy how it really does sneak up. I really don't think I looked like this yesterday but my weightless counselor said my body really changed from last weeks weigh in. I guess now when I tell people that sometimes plateaus really do give you a chance to catch up with your weight loss and your body I know it is really true.- Puree Stage....Suggestions????
Your doctor should have provided you with that info. If not you really should get. It from them probably it is in your paperwork somewhere . You need to know your doctors guidelines for every stage. We can tell you what we do but it might not be what your doctor requires. Everyone and every doctor seems to be different.- Puree Stage....Suggestions????
I have seen some people who do a purée before they do mushies. I never blended after full liquids.- Help !! Nausea
That should help it also will probably make you sleepy which could be a really good thing. Feel better.- Weight gain
Try not to weigh yourself for a while except at your doctor visits it will make you crazy. Congrats on surgery.- i cant believe i gained 11 pounds in the hospital!! WHAT?
I so agree with you . I would not weigh until doctor visits for a bit. It will just make you crazy.- I had my surgery 5 days ago
Sounds like you are doing great. Healing take a toll on the body. Just be careful and be patient.- possible way to save $
Cool idea thanks for sharing!- I can't BELIEVE IM HERE
Congrats on starting the process and taking the first step. What you are feeling is normal and everyone's experiences are different. Take some time and read through the forum. If you have specific questions feel free to post them as well. Most important once you start the process is have patience. For some people the process is really fast but for most there are a lot of steps and hoops to jump through. You are on the right path. Best of luck to you.- Weird
I got dressed today and all the sudden it is like my body changed over night. The shirt I wore last week that was big is now huge. The pants I wore yesterday are hanging some on my belly. I also notice more of a waist. I have lost a total of 95.2 and about 50 of it is from end of last October. Any one else have experience like this?- Weird
