  1. I agree with Chez. when I eat I do not have drink around me. When I go to restaurant I have them take my water when my meal comes. I have chronic dry mouth so I chew gum (mentos) after I eat until I can drink again. I know there are a lot of people that dont chew gum for worry of swallowing.
  2. walk and move around as much as possible. It will help you get rid of the gas. Also try gas x and maybe a heating pad. Sorry you are hurting but you will feel better soon. the more you can move around the better
  3. I am four years out and I still get that pain. I take gas x and try to walk around. I usually get it when I eat too much.

  7. Are you sure it is only 1/4 cup? How many times a day? Head hunger sucks but it will get better you are doing great trying to keep busy. Drinking water will also help with hunger. Keep up the good work!
  8. You should be fine but your doctor might want you to drink decaf.
  9. I was just wondering how many of you use quinoa instead of rice? It is a gluten free grain that contains some protein.
  10. Tuna salad, flaky fish,scrambled eggs whisked with skim milk, canned chicken, beans, bean chilli, refried beans, egg salad I use a potato masher on eggs. Ricotta or cottage cheese with some beans and marinara sauce. Some people use the blender (I don't ). Let us know what things you discover work for you. Congrats again!

  13. I don't count calories either just mostly protein. I do measure most everything and only eat up to half cup solids.
  14. Unfortunately I still love everything as before. I do think I enjoy stuff more now.
  15. Tastes nothing like cottage cheese. It is what is used in stuffed shells and manicotti .
  16. My doctor said no popcorn. I recently discovered edemame. I pop them out of the pod so they take a while to eat and they have around 168 calories and 13 protein. Such a healthy snack I such a small package. I never make it through an entire serving.
  17. I often cook big pots or skillet recipes and freeze half cup servings. Awesome to know they are there when I need them.
  18. My mom used to take ib profen and ended with a whole in her esophagus. Long term she has a spastic esophagus.

  21. I weigh weekly because every day would drive me crazy. I do not own a scale. I do understand why people weigh more often. I have learned on here that there is no wrong answer and everyone has to do what works for them.

  23. I woke up early this morning and ate something went back to sleep and woke up choking. It is important to not eat close to the time you go to sleep. It is such a scary feeling. Please also call your doctor. Be healthy!
