  1. Do girl push ups. Stay on your knees. I had to start with those.
  2. I have lost 80 lbs in 13 months. I am so happy with my results. The difference in the way I feel is unbelievable. I have not been excercising like I should. I try to walk a few days a week. My life is so busy with a 4 year old that I don't make time to excercise. The best arm exercise I have found is good ole push ups. They work the whole arm. I also haven't had but 3 small fills and fluid taken out 2 times due to a stomach virus. Some people just don't require fills. Good luck.
  3. To follow up. I called my doctor at 11:30 a.m. this morning and I was in her office at 1:00. She took out 1cc of fluid and told me to use Prilosec for 2 weeks and I go back in a month. She thinks a major vomiting event 3 weeks ago has irratied everything and I should be o.k. I have drank water and it feels better already. Thanks everyone for the comments.
  4. Give it 4 days and then go get a little taken out. You shouldn't be feeling tight and slimming. Sometimes just a little removed will make you feel better.
  5. I was banded 14 months ago and have lost 78 lbs. About 3 weeks ago I started having acid reflux like I did when I weighed 233 lbs. It seems to be when I lay down at night and it does not matter if I ate 30 minutes befoe or 4 hours before. I have this gurgling in my throat and then the acid comes up. It is keeping me from sleeping. I did a 2 week course of prilosec when it first started but still having it. Last night I slept propped up on two pillows and it made it a little better. Does any one have any ideas or had this happen to them. I have been so successful with my band up until this happened.
  6. Did you have a hernia repair during surgery? If so you will experience some chest pain that feels like something stuck. Mine lasted a couple weeks. The pain got a little better everyday. Good Luck and if worried call your Doctor office and discuss with them whats going on. Good Luck
  7. Don't be surprised if you have some pain after you get home in your chest area. Having the hernia repaired adds some pain. I had this done and my doctor told me I would experience a little more pain. Nothing to major! So happy you are on your way to a new you. Good Luck.
  8. If I am constipated I experience pain in my left side. It feels like it is near my port. Maybe that could be a problem. But please get checked out.
  9. O.K. First I want to tell you what I learned. You need to up those calories to at least 1000-1200. You will not lose any weight if you don't get some more calories. That was the biggest peice of advice I received after being banded for 4 months. A year and 2 months later I have lost 75 lbs. and try not to let my calories go below 1200. Good Luck
  10. When you start to lose you won't remember the pain. It's really not that bad. Good Luck....
  11. I have lost 75 lbs. in just over a year. No one seemed to notice until I hit the 50 lbs. mark. But the biggest comments came when I cut my hair really short!! However when I look in the mirror I still see myself as over weight. I am 7 lbs. away from the goal I set before surgery but now think I need to lose about 20 more lbs.
  12. After I eat or drink something I have started gurggling in my throat. This all started after I had a major stuck episode and threw up several times. It is really loud. Any help on what could be going on would be helpful.
  13. O.K now here it is 12:00 pm and I feel 100% better. I have been able to eat. No acid reflux. I even drank water. Thats what I love about the lap band. Something starts and last a couple days and then its over. Can anyone explain this.
  14. Also I forgot to mention I have been dealing with constipation for about 2 weeks.
  15. I didn't lose any weight and actually gain in the first 3 weeks. When I got my first fill that is when things started to happen. Please don't give up! Tell people you have lost some and will let them know when you lose more. Or just tell them it's none of your business. Good luck and don't give up. Excersing is a big step.
