  1. If you have a TCBY near you it's a really good treat every now and then. They have frozen Greek yogurt that is amazing. They also keep three ounce cups behind the counter you just have to ask for one.
  2. Maybe you are not eating enough. I also agree you should take some of your tracked days to a nutritionist who works with your band doctor"
  3. I find for me I just have to be a little loser than tight. Once I accepted that I did much better. I also do not think there is a green zone for me.
  4. I read a post about medication cost and I cant find it so I thought I would answer here. First of all a lot of drug companies offer prescription assistance on their medications so do your research to see if you qualify. If you can not find what drug company you need contact ask your pharmacy. Also some Pharmacies have plans for some medications. Cvs has a program that includes a lot of medications. There is like a $15 dollar one time fee and then you can order 90 days at a time for a reasonable price. You can ask them for a list of medications included. I am sure that other places like Walgreens and Rite aide probable have programs as well. I hope this information helps someone. Also I know a lot of people take Mirilax. I found out yesterday you can have your doctor call in a script for it and it is a lot cheaper. Best of lucky. I know time are tough for a lot of people but don't skim on our medications!
  5. I am not sure what you are experiencing but if you are concerned please call your doctor. l sleep on my port so sometimes it is sore. Nothing to worry about nurse says, but that is me.
  6. Yep unfortunate it sounds like you are too full. You really don't want that to continue to happen it can lead to more serious conditions. Great that you are calling your doctor.
  7. Start a list of questions to make sure you do not forget to ask something!!
  8. The Silver lining is you have had the surgery. You probably have some fills included. Check with your doctor and keep up the good work!
  9. You may need to do liquids lactose free. Hang in there!!
  10. Outstanding!!!!!!
  11. That is not new news to me. Always better to make your own and be in control.
  12. I think we should get together and egg the factory!! Banders unite!!
  13. Everyone stay strong!! Your journey is just beginning. I would advise you start working on forming new habits now. Cut out carbonated drinks, take smaller bites, chew longer, stop drinking while eating and anything else you can do to get ready. The journey starts now not your surgery date. Best of luck!
  14. Have you tracked your days and brought them to a nutritionist? That would be the next thing I would do. Best of Luck. Its a marathon not a sprint!
  15. Head hunger is really hard. What I do is when I feel hungry I drink first wait about 10 minutes then if still hungry eat something smart high protein. A lot of times I get busy and forget about food. I also find it extra important to track and measure everything when experiencing. Stay strong!!
  16. PB2 is similar to peanut flour. It is powder that is left when all the bad stuff is removed. Most people mix it n shakes or yogurts, puddings. Might want to google it.
  17. Too bad you gave up so fast. I did not like it as a paste frost time out, but really good when you add it to things like shakes, puddings, stir fry and more. I had to play around to get the paste right for me. I do 2tbls pb2 mixed with warm water, add one truvia, dash of salt and if I have on hand I mix in one tsp cool whip lite. Love it mixed with granola in my yogurt or on crackers.
  18. I am not sad actually I feel great about it. I had got to the point where I just bought 4pairs of the same back elastic pants. Also had no idea I had so many clothes. I am keeping the first pair of jeans I fit into which are huge. When I need a reminder how far I have Come I put them on. I am really happy that I have the opportunity to help others as others have helped me. The Karma effect.
  19. I never eat more then a half cup at meals. When I see a cup of food it looks huge!!! Also you should be satisfied not full. It takes a while to learn what satisfied feels like so it is very important to measure your food to know when to stop.
