  1. Where in Virginia are you? Have you checked with MCV or Bon-secours?
  2. The first thing I did to get back on track was to get a copy of my doctors guidelines. Then I started following them. I started measuring and tracking everything. I also went to a nutritionist that works with my and doctor and took about a weeks worth of days with me. It is not easy but how you succeed and what you get is totally up to you. You dd great so you obviously know how to work with the band. Do you have any notes or trackng that you did when you were successful. It comes down to what I hear on this site a lot. You have to have want power and you have to do this for you and motivate yourself. Best of luck to you!
  3. Sounds good, but I was told that pea soup is not a good choice because peas are starch.
  4. The first thing you have to do is let go of the guilt and the shame because it will just hold you down. Start fresh and new and you will do great!!
  5. Reflux can not only be serious it can also be life threatening.
  6. I really hope people read your post and learn from your experience!! Thank you so much for sharing and I am glad you are doing better!
  7. Really it is totally up to your doctor. Everyone is different. Good Luck.
  8. I got reflux really bad specially when sleeping (which can be very serious and dangerous) and terrible heartburn. I was too full. Soon as they did the unfills I was great!
  9. You sound too tight to me and you should feel great!! I too suggest you call your doctor.
  10. Have you tried a Netti pot? Cleans your sinuses out. They really help healing. Hope you feel better.
  11. I also can eat pretty much everything as long as its not dry . I do not eat rice, pasta and bread but I think it's more because of the nutrients. I was Also told no popcorn.
  12. I also eat half cup meals and I measure everything in volume. Best of luck to you.
  13. Check out the flavors on nuts.com omg so many flavors so little time. They even have butterfinger.
  14. Have you ever tried with raw almonds? Also check out nuts.com
  15. I am on the looser side where my band is concerned and that is what s right for me. I can eat a lot more then I do sometimes but I choose not to. I also measure all my food so I know when to stop.
  16. I agree but unfortunately some people are just rude .
  17. My advice is stop weighing yourself so much!
  18. I don't take tiny bites. I use a baby spoon but the bites are not tiny. I rarely get stuck and my band is right where it should be. I would track all you eat and make notes by each meal how long it keeps you satisfied. Also make sure you are eating high protein solids. Eating the right food is as important as getting a fill.
  19. Hey Mis, she went to doctor and that is what he prescribed. She is waiting on her insurance to go to a specialist. Mean while she feels its band related and just wanted to know if anyone else experienced anything like that. You know I would not use a post in place of a doctor. Also remember this is not my post. she was banded in Mexico and does not have a local band doctor.
  20. I think it is a very small like 1 or 2 % that have erosion.
  21. Have you asked your Doctor? I am sorry do not know enough about Graves to answer your question. Hopefully some others will post. Best of luck!!
  22. I chose the band because I did not want my stomach damaged in any way and I wanted the option to have it removed if for any reason it is needed.
