  1. Being honest, I never really thought I was one of those people, but lately, I have be realizing that I am a stress eater. I have a predetermined plan of what I usually eat when I binge. I'm really happy that I have the band, but I can't honestly say that it doesn't scare me a little bit nevertheless
  2. I second this motion. lol. Anyway, mine has gone up and down, but with added exercise, your testosterone level WILL rise. I mean, I have pre-med school stress too, but still. haha.
  3. Being honest, you just need to do what you can with the walking. Even though walking is a little more high-impact than using the elliptical machine, your joints will actually get stronger. So, just do what you can and up your time maybe 5 minutes/week.
  4. Can we start this again? I almost planned that meeting this year. haha. Thank god I saw that it was from a few years ago. lol
  5. I'm here! I'm looking for some LapBand groups, too, so I'd love some friends down here, too! :cursing:
  6. At 25, my sex drive should be through the roof, but honestly, lately...meh. Maybe its just this year...haha.
  7. Hey guys! I bought the DVD for it's original price and I got all of the info with the nutrition guide and workout manual. It's really helpful. :bored: I've been doing in on and off for the past few months and I'm going to stick to all 3 months for sure starting next week because classes are ending and I'll have some free time for a while. Anyway, I absolutely love it and I would recommend it for anyone. Plus, he tells you to just do your best, even if you can't keep up. You'll catch up eventually!! :glare:
  8. You're totally not alone with this. I can't keep alcohol in the house because if it is there, I will drink it. I really like to relax and not be so stressed. It's not that I'm addicted, it's just because I lack an outlet. I'm really trying to find outlets like playing basketball on an intramural team at U of A and exercise. Sometimes, though, I just want to relax and it's difficult to find an outlet... It kind of feels good to know that I'm not the only one...
  9. Well, talk to your doctor about it, but I did the "insanity" workout from Beach Body probably 5 months after and it was incredible. You have to really want it, but I lost a TON of weight really fast. It's not that expensive either.
  10. Honestly, I've been there, done that. I'm not overly against it, but I prefer not to do it. I dated a girl who really wanted to try it and it just felt odd. Going along with that, she was also obsessed with anal sex and wanted to do it sans condom...yeah...not so much. To each their own.
  11. Actually, it's kind of an interesting concept, or so I've heard. The reason behind this is that because the second workout you do won't be nearly as effective because you'll be incredibly tired already and your body will wanting to repair itself and not creating more damage. However, if you really do want to do this, I would say that do one in the morning and one in the evening with 7-8 hours inbetween to give your body some time to recover. Make sure you get your protein in after weight training and good luck!!
  12. I got banded in March of 2007 and by December of 2007, I was down almost 100lbs. I was looking great and everybody could see it. I was SOOO confident!! I met my fiance a month or so after that and ever since then, we've both gained 30-40lbs and our eating habits have been really bad. I've been up and down in the interim, but I'm getting so frustrated because with my schedule and all of my stress from school, it's really hard to be motivated. What do you guys do to muster up more motivation??
  13. Wow... While it is a fantastic idea, I also think it's a bit intrusive...
  14. What??????????
  15. Well, if you're referring to me, please re-read my post. No need to read between the lines, either. If you'll take notice, I said, "If they ask, you should tell them." Having said that, I hope you weren't referring to me.
  16. It's all good! I completely agree. Everything is different for everybody.
  17. *resists urge to make republican reference of "2 million fails"* oops.:tongue2:
  18. At the expense of coming of a little harsh, come on, guys... Let's be honest here. If they ask, you should tell them. If they think any less of you, they're not the right one.
  19. I was talking to my girlfriend and some of her friends about this and they all said that the problem was that they don't work you hard enough, but it's better than nothing. :scared2:
  20. neveragain replied to raeraepa's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I just bought this a week ago and I'm soooo motivated. Thing is, I hurt my knee playing tennis a few days ago and I've been laid up. lame. Anyway, I've heard nothing but great things about it, so I'm really excited to start!!
  21. If you chew the heck out of those beans, you should be fine.
  22. I love my wii fit. What gets me the best exercise is PROBABLY the boxing workout. I LOVE that one. hahaha. Some of the fighting games are good workouts too because you're constantly shaking the remotes really hard. haha.
  23. :tongue2::thumbup::der::thumbup: PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!! sorry...i had to get it out. Working at a golf course is NOT as easy as people would think. haha.
  24. Why doesn't anyone tell me about these things!!!!! >_< hahah. juuuuuuuust kidding. We should plan another!
