Very Bizzare Thing Happened!???
That could be it. Whenever I feel something like that, it's usually an muscle spasm. I've definitely felt my diaphragm spasm before, but given that you've felt less restriction lately, I'd listen to the nurse. That's kind of cool, though. I've never heard of that. haha.

fat burning exercise
Jacqui, as much as I would love to have one of our usual disagreements about whatever it is we feel like, I'm with you 100% on this one. haha. =) The only thing I would like to add to this one is that that extra effort during the cardio is going to help your heart and lungs, as well. Don't get me wrong, if someone wants to do the easier fat-burning workout, go to town and have fun, but if you want to increase your overall health, I would bump it up a smidgen.

Long live Sushi
I know I've said this a million times, but I LOVE SUSHI! I love sashimi a bit more, I think, but it's close... Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Counting calories?
See, if you want to be meticulous about it, that's a great way to do it. If you want to be relaxed about it, give yourself a general vicinity of 800-1200 calories. High Protein, low carb, etc. That's just what has worked for me, though.

wondering if others have noticed this?
Dead on! See, we have the good personalities and all we need to do is get down to the desired weightnessnessnessness! Plus, to skinny people who don't have to live at the gym to look half-way decent. hahahaha.

When can we start to drink coffee?
Aside from the caffeine and the dehydration factor, there really isn't a reason why you shouldn't be able to drink it right away.

New-Anyone else in Tucson?
Elsewhere, apparently. haha. Apparently in June there is one.

Can bandsters eat corn on the cob?
Meh, I can eat a small amount, but I try to steer away from carbs whenever possible.

Prepared for Protein and Broke as a Joke Now
I heart muscle milk. It has a higher saturated fat content, but it's fairly arguable at that. Yarg.

History of bariatric surgery?
Well, we all know about the weight loss surgeries that are available now. Any new ones that either haven't come out yet or brand new ones? Ephedra, fen-phen, and one other one that I can't remember got booted, too. Meridia and the perscription strength version of Alli are the newer ones. Any of you know about any other new ones?

History of bariatric surgery?
I know I'm kind of calling in a favor, but if you guys could help me find some information about the history of bariatric surgery and history about medications used, I would be eternally grateful. Thanks ahead of time!

New-Anyone else in Tucson?
Finally! Someone else wants to! Yay!

I hate it when people post just to post.....
I hate homework. I really do. In fact, I feel like pulling my hair out, stabbing holes in my eyes, and POSSIBLY committing suicide seem like a less taxing option.:scared2::w00t::scared2::w00t: To all, a good day.

Portion Size
I mean, my portions are RIGHT AROUND 3/4 of a cup, give or take the time of day, but here's the thing...it's more about the calories than the portion. More of the hunger is in your head than you think. Don't forget that. Try to keep between 800-1300 calories per day. Plenty of protein, few carbs, few sugars, more whole foods, etc. You know the drill.

EXTREME tightness after long exercise session?
I'm so jealous! I want to do that! AHHHHH! Granted, out of the 3.25 mile loop that I run, I've got maybe half of that running... maybe I need to up the ante a little... I do get a LITTLE tighter after a hard workout, but it's almost never bad enough to where I can't eat. Good luck! That's so awesome!

needs to lose 10lbs by 05-07-08 help!
Liquids, High Protein liquids, and LOTS of exercise should do it flawlessly :tongue_smilie: I would recommend cardio, too, by the way.

what is Unjury?
Yeah, it's a protein powder. Some like it, some don't. I, however, don't like it much.

have any of my age 20-something bandsters tried ali?
See, I would love to take it again, but the thing is that I HATE the peak and drop off bit. It sucks sooooo much. I hate being tired during the day. Now, do they do something for the body? Yeah, kind of. Simply, it's basically just a faster heart rate equals more calories burned throughout the day. Nothing special. It wouldn't be too different drinking a sugar-free Red Bull a couple times a day. haha.

If I knew what I knew today ...
I would have done this 100 times over. No question.

!&@*#&^&@$^!^!%!
Soooooo true. haha. Get good grades, though. That matters. haha. Take it from me.

What was YOUR Moment of decision?
Mine was really simple and mildly vain, really. Well, in one aspect, that is. I was standing in front on my mirror one day and decided I was tired of everyone who gave me crap for being overweight and not included in social activities because I was some embarrassment. It really pissed me off. I was done with the "being left out" stuff, so that was my vanity moment. About a week later, I decided to take my blood pressure, just out of curiosity. Well, it was too high for my comfortability range, which got my mind racing about everything. Would I find a wife? If I did, would I die not too long after my kids were born because of some co-morbidity? Among a few other questions, mind you, but still. After that, the answer was crystal clear.

No sleep at sleep study
I've never done it, but it would take me literally forever to fall asleep with a bunch of stuff hooked up to me. Fun.

NSV - Great Sex
Haha. Well, I'm not gonna lie to ya, certain things have looked a bit different since the 80lbs going, but not 3 inches. Plus, if 3 inches were added to a certain something, methinks that would be an issue for some women and myself. haha. :tt1: As the Japanese say, so desu (That's it).

Some people, I swear...
Oh, oh my god, I'm sorry. I really should get down on my knees and beg for your forgiveness. I had no idea that you knew the amazing amount of knowledge that most 10 year olds do, oh, and that you may be a prestigious and successful entrepreneur. God forbid I would ever question your extensive knowledge on any given subject. No one is confused about what "target audience" is. It is about as self-explanatory as possible. Did it ever occur to you that the way things are written and the undertones they are given is very directive in the way something is taken or meant? Well, now you do. You bring a sob story about something that happens to more people than just yourself and you make yourself look like the entire world owes you a deep and sincere apology that would fill the crevices of your heart. Seriously, if you want some credibility, don't make yourself look like a poor victim of some vicious, hanus crime when you are no different than just a poor statistic of the weight loss surgery category. Everything else aside, providing that this really did happen, I wish you nothing but the best. You took a risk and it backfired as they do on occasion. It really is a sad thing when something that can be so beneficial and helpful in someone's life doesn't work out, especially in this case. I really just wish you had come out and explained everything differently instead of giving everyone the idea that you were just trying to get complications of the Lapband out and provoke some emotion. I don't like giving people crap, I really don't, but I'm not going to sit here and tell you that you didn't deserve all of the crap you got. I do wish your mother-in-law all the best, though.
