History of bariatric surgery?

I know I'm kind of calling in a favor, but if you guys could help me find some information about the history of bariatric surgery and history about medications used, I would be eternally grateful.

Thanks ahead of time!

Well, we all know about the weight loss surgeries that are available now. Any new ones that either haven't come out yet or brand new ones?

Ephedra, fen-phen, and one other one that I can't remember got booted, too. Meridia and the perscription strength version of Alli are the newer ones. Any of you know about any other new ones?
