  1. Seriously, everyone has been there at one point or another. Just keep your goal in mind and you'll do the right thing.
  2. You'll never go back to the 2-3 times a day. If you ask people what they REALLY do, most of the time it's not like that at all. Generally, people go from once a day to once every 2-3 days. You'll probably go for the latter category. Oh, and for the person who said that they already go every 2-3 days, chances are you may add a day or so if it even happens that way. I wouldn't get scared about it. EDIT: Keep in mind that everybody is different, though. Don't slack on the Water and fiber. Both of those are fantastic to promote normal GI movement.
  3. I'd love to get together with some people in Tucson! Send me a PM, too, if you want!
  4. For ANYONE who is scared of the high Protein, low carb diets who has diabetes should look at this post above mine. There has been study after study after study done that says that this is the perfect diet and for people who aren't obese, it's a fantastic lifestyle. They give it to cardiac patients and LOTS of others to make their tests where they should be! On a mildly unrelated note, I'm waiting for my hyperuricemia to go away...oh wait, it's genetic! Ha! Hello chances of gout attacks and kidney stones never going away! Oh, and Gayle, I'm so happy for you!
  5. To be honest, most times I like how much I eat now. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I see the rest of the plate and want to push it down that little esophagus that I have. Fact is, having a band helps the food intake and also the way we look at ourselves in the mirror and it seems to help, so lets just get used to this small meal bit and get over the overeating thing.
  6. Hell no. Never. Do I think it's a good idea for poor, uninsured people? Sure, as long as they don't mind getting everyone in the front of the store sick.
  7. See, I'm one of the crazy ones... I used to have a big sex drive, but I've lost 70ish pounds and it's gone down quite a bit... To that, friends, I say YARG!
  8. I may be interested. Details? Oh wait...there's none *waits*
  9. I could not have said it better myself.
  10. Out of blind curiosity, have you ever gotten your thyroid checked or had any other testing done? Don't get me wrong, I can't think of any way I could be happier with the Lap-band. The only reason why I mention this is that this is major invasive surgery and not like being given a shot.
  11. Seriously, as much as I loved soda before, I had to stop drinking it...so I did. It's been almost a year and I haven't had more than 5 of anything carbonated.
  12. Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drug You can take ibuprofen and aleve just fine, but just don't take it all the time.
  13. It totally depends on what your skin color is. The darker, the better, but the lighter the better. Plus your complexion helps a bit.
  14. I would totally love to do that, actually...hmmmmm. *note to self: find a class* lol.
  15. Seriously, all you do is just move on. I know it sounds ridiculous, but you just get used to it after a while...
  16. I'm not going to lie to you man, that just sounds disgusting... I would have a shake and a normal cup of coffee. lol.
  17. For guys out there, soy Protein is kind of arguable. If you don't have very much, there's nothing to worry about. However, it tends to produce higher levels of estrogen in guys. For whatever it's worth.
  18. So I've met a few people off of eHarmony. What do I have to say about that site thus far, you ask? It's crappy. haha. Hopefully it'll get better.
  19. Honestly, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Like someone before me said, you're going to get over it in time. In the meantime, try to mentally convince yourself that you do look good and if you do that enough, your brain will convince you otherwise. It's a great thing.
  20. I'm sorry to say this, but there's NO possible way that they Giants are going to win the Super Bowl. They just don't have the team, not to mention that they AAAAAAAAALMOST lost to the Packers. Oh, and GO PATS!
  21. I wish that I would have ever thought to ask for that! I'm so going to do that from now on!!!!!
  22. I know that most of you probably know me, but I figured that I'd throw in my stats too. I'm John. I was banded 3/28/07. I'm down 70lbs so far. I'm 23. I'm pre-med at U of A. Anything else you want to know, ask me!
