I keep reading on here that ibuprofen is not allowed with the band. Am I reading this right? And if it is not okay, then what am I supposed to be taking for pain such as a headache that won't go away on it's own.

If this is true .... I am shocked. :party: I have been taking ibuprofen and Aleve for 7 months now ???:thumbup:

Tylenol is OK. Just avoid the NSAIDS that may cause band erosion. Ask your doc about other meds if you need something stronger. I find that as I've lost weight, I have less pain to medicate!

Thanks annieM. Sorry for my ignorance, but what is NSAIDS? I missed the boat with that one. LOL. :biggrin:

You can take ibuprofen and aleve just fine, but just don't take it all the time.

NSAIDS...you are more prone for erosion....but docs will still give them when needed.

Long term use isn't good.
