Does anyone eat fruit in this forum???
I have not found a fruit that doesn't make me pb- even if I chew it like a crazy lady! Mango- my favorite- is the worst! I should try to make some smoothies, I suppose!

Curious...what side is your port on?
I'm on the right, by request. I sleep on my left, and I heard you can feel it. My surgeon thought I was nuts! LOL

I PB alot, but I am always hungry????
I was having this problem and you would think you need an unfill, but the opposite is true. With the band a little tighter, the hole for food to get stuck will be smaller and food will have an easier time sitting above the band in your pouch, rather than slipping into the hole and getting stuck. Does that make sense? I had a fill and now I'm doing great! Good luck!!!

Tight in the morning
My Surgeon told me not to eat breakfast if I'm not hungry- so I don't! My band stays nice and snug all day  I finally got good restriction and the weight is starting to drop off! YAY!!!! Good-bye Bandster Hell!

Having Problems with Chicken help!!
I have trouble with breaded chicken and the boneless skinless- so I don't eat the breaded anymore, and I brown the chicken breasts in my big ol' teflon pan and then put 2-3 cups of water and a bunch of Mrs. Dash in the pan.. cover and cook on low for an hour and THEN I can easily eat it! The crock pot would be the same deal.. Has to be super moist! I have a terrible time with ground beef, though. Hurts every time! We're all different!

Any Advice on Getting "Unstuck" Quickly?
Tiny, and I mean tiny! Sips of hot water seem to help. Good luck! Getting stuck really hurts me and I took a big gulp of water the first time it happened, and the pain became twice as bad.

Am I right to be angry and frustrated?
I was banded on 12/30/08, have had 2 fills and still very little restriction. My surgeon says it can take up to 6 fills to hit the "Sweet Spot" that I am longing for! I just take it one day at a time.. I get my third fill this week and I sure hope it doesn't take 6 fills to get restriction! But if it does, it does. We are all individuals, so it takes more or less for everyone! Good luck to all!

No restriction- super frustrated!!! HELP!
I was banded December 30th and I have lost 40 lbs- gained back 4, lost 3... I have very little restriction after 2 fills and my doc puts the band in empty. I am hungry all the time, just like I was never banded. My first fill was 4cc's and my next one was only 1 cc! My doc just does 1 cc at a time and says it can take 6 months to get any restriction! I wish someone had told me that before the surgery- I probably would have chosen gastric bypass! Anyone who has been through this and has encouraging words, please help! I'm so frustrated!!!!

December Bandsters
Yeah! What is up with the sugar cravings??? I have never been a sweet eater- I like salty, greasy stuff like chips and fries! Now I want candy, cookies, ice cream... you name it! What's up with that??? I was banded December 30th and I have lost 40 lbs- gained back 4, lost 3... I have very little restriction after 2 fills and my doc puts the band in empty. I am hungry all the time, just like I was never banded. My first fill was 4cc's and my next one was only 1 cc! My doc just does 1 cc at a time and says it can take 6 months to get any restriction! I wish someone had told me that before the surgery- I probably would have chosen gastric bypass! Anyone who has been through this and has encouraging words, please help! I'm so frustrated!!!! Lately, I've had this God awful sweet tooth. I could have like a burito for the entire day and the rest SUGAR: Chocolate, cookies, etc. I have to admit that I have satisfied my sweet tooth on occasion, but I'm not sure where it came from. Has anyone else had this problem?

6 wks post-op had first fill, question about water
LOL! I thought I was the only one who could hear that, since I've never seen a post that mentions it! Yes, sometimes I can hear my upper pouch draining into my stomach. Sounds a little like a sink draining!

6 wks post-op had first fill, question about water
Yeah, my doc had me drink some water after the fill, too. I have never heard of having you drink water, then to remove saline until it "drains." I had my first fill a few weeks back and got 4 cc's... I feel like I can take a little more!

First Fill 04/02 will it hurt?
Hi there, I had my first fill a few weeks ago. I had no numbing agents- and I did not feel it one bit. My doc had me do a sort of 1/2 sit up and he found my port, popped the needle in and all done! Don't be scared!

Will I need someone to take care of me after surgery?
My hospital would not release me without a driver. You may need to check into that! Good luck!
