I am 6 wks post op and had my first fill yesterday. The doc numbed the area first then stuck the LONG needle in on first try, no xrays, just feeling around. My question is this...when he went to do the fill he had me drink a cup of water, 3 gulps and then he started to pull the saline out and told me to tell him when the water went down. I guessed at it because I really couldn't feel the water go down??? I am okay today, I really don't feel any different, is this normal. When they gave me the water it was full of ice, I guess so you can feel it better, but no such luck. I didn't tell the doc this. I had no fill during surgery, just got 1cc put in yesterday, on full liquids for 2 days then mushies, then slowly to soft foods. I wonder if I will feel the difference once I go to the food?????? MY next appt is in 4 weeks.
