  1. I did the Color Vibe run out here in Las Vegas yesterday! It was a blast! There was a ton if people from all ages with all shapes and sizes!! I highly recommend it!!
  2. I think a big one for me is the improved mood and self confidence. I am definitely more happy now than I was presleeve, and that. It changes the way people around me act as well. It's a great feeling!!
  3. I was sleeved 3/4. I definitely feel restriction when I eat protein like chicken or steak. I can eat a full slice of thin crust pizza. I also have yet to throw up from overeating. It really is about choices. I wouldn't call it a diet for me; I'm still eating what I want (to an extent) and am trying to make good choices. To me, denying myself anything is how I got to 368 pounds. It's all in moderation now. Plus, I'm working out semi consistently which I've never done before. I want to healthy. I no longer want my life to be controlled by my weight and size. Hang in there! If you need motivation, advice, or a shoulder... We are here!!
  4. Yay!! I can't wait to say the same!!!
  5. Sleeved 3/4. Down 56 pounds total. I feel amazing. Still a learning curve though. Work has been hard since I don't usually get adequate time to sit and eat (if ever). I work outside in Las Vegas so Water is a must!! Most days I range from 6-10 classes, but I need to keep upping that!! Congrats to everyone on the losses!!
  6. Keep us updated!! It's a shame that you don't know the joys of having to wait!! Lol!! I'm curious about having a tummy tuck as well!! Make sure you take before and after pics!! Rock that bikini girl!!!
  7. I'm in the same boat! Today is week 10 and my first gain. It's disheartening. Any other diet, this would be the time I would throw in the towel. However, logically, I know there is no way I have consumed enough calories within the last week to constitute a 2 pound weight gain. Also, I started in the gym this week, both cardio and strength training. I know that probably has something to do with the weight gain as well. So, this week it is all about getting my water and Protein in!! Keep on keepin' on!!
  8. There are a ton of recipes on Pinterest!!
  9. I definitely think a lot of it is branding. I know, for me anyway, that a lot of the clothes I wore on a regular basis prior to surgery were tight. I probably could have gone up a size. So I don't know if that counts as one size or two sizes for me either!! Either way, you are getting smaller and your body is changing!!
  10. I'm single too. I buy the pre sliced chicken and steak and frozen veggies. Its easy to microwave just what I need without having a bunch left over!
  11. I make my own Starbucks drink. I buy their passion tea mix and use crystal light for the lemonade. I love my pink drink!!
  12. I'll be walking one the 25th of this month.
  13. I was clear to get in the pool after 2 weeks. Ask your surgeon!
  14. Google or YouTube will be your friend here! Anything with treading Water or kicking will help. A pool noodle will allow for crunches and resistance exercises for your arms and legs.
  15. I went hiking for the first time last week! I loved it! I went with some bigger friends and was actually ahead of the pack! I can't wait to go again!!
  16. Just make sure you don't have redness or welts around your incisions. I ended up having a reaction to dermabond and was on a ton of antihistamines and steroids!!
  17. Do you have a friend that you can walk with? Having a buddy helps with pace, helps pass the time, and being accountable to you work outs. You won't just be letting yourself down, you'll be letting your friend down too!! I personally love walking with my dog! He enjoys it more than I do!
  18. Have any of you seen her before/after pics?! It's a crazy change!! I'd love to do some of her stuff soon!!
  19. Have you talked to your physical therapist about exercises that you can do?! Anytime there is an injury you need to be careful. I was always taught to strengthen the muscles around the injured part. Check into a personal trainer too. What about pool stuff? Water aerobics/jogging/weights? Those are low impact and in general those exercises are easily modified if accompanied by pain. Good luck to you!!
  20. My normal gym offers beginner yoga classes. There are also a ton of yoga businesses around town too. My surgeon's office even does yoga/meditation classes. Maybe you could get a group of people together and do more of a private class? I'm sure there are a ton of instructors that would be okay with that! Good luck!!
  21. I drink the low calorie non carbonated drinks. Monster has a new one out... Pink lemonade mixed with tea. I'm personally not a big tea fan bit this is good! They also have it with regular lemonade!
