  1. I never got full on liquids. Now that I'm on puréed and soft foods I definitely feel full. I also started taking Prilosec for the hunger feeling and that helps a lot!
  2. I have no idea. I was checking Facebook and saw the news. I hope not, at least not for a while....
  3. I know I'm personally at a loss. I feel like I just talked to him. He was doing great! Excited to start puréed foods! He was walking DAILY!! We all know there are risks with having this surgery... And no one thinks it will happen to them....
  4. I'm not really sure if I should post this; for the most part this site is positive and offers great support for those of us that need it. Many people on this site have made connections and have talked away from the forum. I am definitely one of them. With a heavy heart I'm sad to announce that someone that has become a great friend in a short amount if time, livesaveremt, passed away Monday. He had his surgery at the end of February. So far, they are saying he had a blood clot (a known complication from the surgery) that traveled up into his heart and lungs. Fred, you were a great guy and will be missed. You were always a positive support system and a rock to lean on. God Speed. We'll take it from here.....
  5. I was sleeved the 4th and started getting dizzy spells Thursday. My doc said I'm probably overdoing things since I feel great and my body is telling me to slow down. Also remember you're not getting the calorie amount your body is used to. Have your blood pressure checked to make sure that's not it. Sugar too in case you're diabetic. My dr said its super unlikely do be deficient in any Vitamins this early in the game. Take it easy and I hope you feel better.
  6. I had dermabond. The reaction started at day 2. I'm still not completely healed yet either.
  7. Yupp!! I've been trying to eat more slowly. Also taking deep breaths seems to help.
  8. I JUST made meatballs and didn't even get through half!! It's amazing!! However, I really miss drinking a big glass of milk! I have my timer set for when I can drink some! Lol
  9. Just checking in! I had my follow up today regarding my allergy to dermabond. My rash is better but not completely gone. I need to watch it and if its not gone in a week I need to see a specialist. Down 24 pounds total! My blood pressure is dropping lower and lower with my medication (but still in normal ranges). I can't wait to be off of my bp meds completely!! On a downside, I've started having dizzy spells. So bad it felt like I was drunk. My doc said its probably because I'm not "resting" enough lol. Who says that?! I've been working out daily and hanging out with friends. I'm on bed rest now! Boo!! It's funny because not even two weeks ago I would lay around ALL DAY! And now I can't! I love it! I hope everyone keeps improving, feeling better, and dropping those pounds and inches!!
  10. Mine were super red and itchy. Doc said I'm most likely allergic to dermabond. I did a week of steroids and they are almost completely healed now.
  11. I was told not to "weigh" soup since its a liquid. When I do soft food and regular foods I will have to weigh and measure.
  12. Yupp!! I don't know of mine is mental or from the heart burn. I started Prilosec today and I really hope it helps!!
  13. I'm 1 week out and went for a 24 minute walk today. I pushed myself a little but not much. I feel fine and only a little weak.
  14. That's an amazing difference!! You are melting away!!!
  15. It's frustrating. I dug out some craft stuff. I also have studying to do... And now that the weather is nice my dog would love a walk. I need to learn to be proactive and work WITH my sleeve, not against it.
  16. I am 6 days out and hungry! food is all I can think about! I'm going insane! A lot of it is knowing "I can't have" this of that... And the other half is probably boredom and habitual hunger. As I sit here on the couch I want to eat! I'm so glad I saw this! I'm going to up my Protein and see if that helps. Tomorrow is a new day.......
  17. Oh my that's another one!!! My stomach/abdomen makes SUPER weird noises! You can feel it growling and gurgling around in there!! It happened last night at a friend's and everyone laughed!! Lol!! Just go along with it!!!
  18. The spasms are normal. My Dr have me a spasm med to take every 6 hours. I also find that taking a couple deep breaths when is starts helps a ton!!!
  19. I buy the premixed premiere protein from costco. It's worked for me!
