Did you go from a woman's 20 to a misses 18? Can't remember if its the 18 or the 16 but there is actually 2 sizes there. For some reason it dosent translate to a single size.

It really depends on the maker of the clothes. Some designers cut there close small and some cut them big. I'm definitely with you on this that a lose of 47lbs should net you more than one size down

So I'm 3 months out and lost 47 pounds. Somehow I'm only down 1 size (started at size 20, now at size 18). How does 47 pounds equal 1 size? I should have measured myself prior to surgery but didn't. Don't get me wrong, I am so thankful to have lost that weight, I just don't know where it went from, lol!
