  1. Sorry to hear you had so many problems but then I am very happy you did something about it. You read that so many people don't call their doctors when something isn't right. Feel better.
  2. You're not a failure but had fun and now need to work your tool and fit into your jeans. Smart-not having any larger clothes to get comfortable in.
  3. You look amazing. Taking pictures in the same clothes really shows off the real difference Keep up the super job.
  4. My husband is the only one who knows my weight. I needed to share it because he is the one that goes to every appointment with me and to my support groups. This site is great for sharing because everyone one of us has been there. Good luck with your journey.
  5. My weight doesn't change much at all but the inches have and that looks good to me. I weigh myself too many times a day. If I only did it when I see my doctor I would be thankful. Is that your problem, the scale? We just have to remember we didn't get fat in a few months so the weight doesn't come off fast either. Good luck.
  6. I am 8 months tomorrow and since the band down 47 but since I started watching myself down 75. I don't feel like I am losing fast enough but I am losing more than before the band. I go to the gym as much as I can which lately isn't enough. Where I live the gym is $10. per month. Good luck and maybe when we are 1 year we will be down more.
  7. Congratulations. Nothing feels better than seeing that 2 gone!
  8. This site is amazing with the most supportive and amazing people to help you the whole way. I love my monthly support groups. I live outside of Boston and the Boston hospital where I had the band has meetings every 2 weeks but I go to the smaller hospital closer to my house, my surgeon is now there. Good luck with your new journey.
  9. You look amazing!! Very good job. I do eat dark chocolate but not every day. I know from the past years of dieting I can not totally be without or I will go crazy with eating. Today I had pizza for lunch and stopped when I had enough. Right now I am eating my salad before dinner. I have never used salad dressing in my life so I know my salad is very low cal. You make it seem more possible for us banders when you post your weight loss, thank you very much, again.
  10. I use them on salad too. They are great
  11. I would love to shop with you, till we drop. I also buy for hub, he does not shop. He calls me his stylist. My 13 year old grandson loves my taste in clothes, too. He said I buy the best hoodies.
  12. you have much more stores than Boston. I don't go downtown. About 5 miles from me is a huge in door mall with over 100 stores and all the major ones are there. But the outlets I love. We also have a warehouse store not too far and I bought Ralph Lauren 't' s for $12. They last about 10 years or more.
  13. I love to shop for clothes, even if it's window shopping. Where I live in MA we have outlet stores about 30-45 minutes away and my husband is a people watcher. Perfect match! So today we went, the temp in Boston was around 60. I went into the Donna Karen store and they were selling daisy dukes. Can you picture us former over weight women in those with our Shar Pei thighs? Great picture, men. I just thought that was funny and I need humor. I did go to the Jones NY store and bought some 't's for $7. each and bought some for Mother's Day gifts, too. I love that store. I was good today, my husband wouldn't let me into the Godiva store, OMG! I love their dark chocolates and yes, I do eat them. Happy shopping, ladies and men. Arlene
  14. Sorry to hear you hurt yourself. I always find great exercises on the internet. Put in what body part you want to move and improve. I hurt my neck and found some great ones. I use google. Very good that you are so active. I try to get in 3500 steps a day, WOW, if I got in as many as you I would so much more fit.
  15. What I did was go to the local hospital when they had their monthly meeting about looking into WLS. Does your local hospital have this? They have all the answers. I live in the Boston area and I know they advertise all the time at local hospitals. Good luck.

I have had 3 fills and total they are under 3cc. My doctor just does small ones. I have noticed people post they have large ones. I don't know what is right or wrong but maybe discuss this with your doctor. Good luck with whatever you and he choose.
  17. I couldn't play the video, it stopped. What does she say?
  18. That is wonderful KFC made you feel that way. I hate fast food and it was before the band. My grandsons hate that I won't eat McDonald's. To me fast food is pizza, but good pizza. There is a tiny convenient store across from my condo complex and they make the best fried chicken and since the band I have not had any and I use to have it 2-4 times a week.
  19. I pay $20. for pedi and $10. for mani. Waxing is $7. for eye brows. I live just outside of Boston. All the nail salons are owned by Vietnamese in my area and they do the best job. My town is about 30,000 people and there are maybe 15 nail salons.
