Cost of Lap Band in NYC

I'm new to the boards and have been researching the Lap Band, specifically the Lap Band with plication.

I'm curious how much it costs for self pay in NYC. My insurance covers weight loss surgery but I don't think I have a chance of getting approval. My BMI is 35 and I have no comorbidities. I do have a family history of diabetes, high cholesterol and sleep apnea.

What I did was go to the local hospital when they had their monthly meeting about looking into WLS. Does your local hospital have this? They have all the answers. I live in the Boston area and I know they advertise all the time at local hospitals.

Good luck.
