  1. It's like a lima bean really, how it looks & size. But the texture & taste is different. I likey. I wanted to mention, I also bought 'Pirate's Booty' from that same place, the name grabbed me. Welcome to Robert's American Gourmet It's puffed rice & corn, it's organic or something, I forget why it's a healthy thing. Like I said, I liked the name. I got caramel covered. 6-9 pieces is a good snack, and the stuff is num num and something about it is healthy. I give lightly salted dry-roasted Edamame 2 thumbs up, and Pirate's Booty caramel 2 thumbs up. DH likes the Booty too. I also got Pita chips from this place, I saw how they were made on some tv show and thought it looked good, suppose to be a healthy alternative.. I got cinnamon & sugar, but they were hard and not very good. The bag says they were expired, so I don't know if that's why, but I don't plan on buying them again. I also got the pretzel crackers, some new thing they came out with. I don't like pretzels, but these looked alright. I got the mustard & onion.. they're good! They're small, but I almost ate 'too much' just by having 2. So they must inflate or something.
  2. 50lbs is a good loss! I have to drive 3 hours both ways to see my doc once a month, just gotta suck it up! :tt1: Why are you wanting the band out?
  3. I am reading, well browsing, but things keep going back and forth, and I think by time I get to the end I forget what the plan is lol. On hold with a customer, who is on the phone with his customer, this is interesting. I am hearing him talk to them, weee. Sell it, sell it! Mwhaha. Anyway, I love lazy river tubing too. I haven't done it in SO long.
  4. So if we do that.. and if 'toobin' is the same as tubing? Meaning floating in a tube down a lazy river, OR tied behind a boat goin fast wee.. I love both of those. If that's not what it is, please explain!! But is May warm enough for that? Alamo sounds cool too, always wanted to see that. What airport would we fly into?
  5. I was told no gum.. But here's an interesting thread of someone who currently has had gum stuck for a while now.. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f9/crud-i-swallowed-piece-gum-48277/
  6. I just thank god we don't walk around with our labias or nipples hanging out.
  7. Pick what you guys want, that's my 2 cents :tt1:

Healthy Life bread.. I found it at some discount store, but once they hooked me, I realized it's everywhere. I just never noticed it. They do make it in wheat too, if you just like wheat. But it's enhanced fiber, and low-cal. Healthy Life Bread
  9. If you see some of my other posts, I've had chronic heartburn since I was 10, and months after banding, it's still a daily occurance. I forget my Prilosec sometimes, and pay the next day. Well last night I was having some heart burn and realized I hadn't taken Prilosec in a week!! And the only time I had heartburn was last night! And it was MILD.. I've never had it be MILD. And I've never gone a week without heartburn unless I was taking my meds. WOOHOO!! :pray2:
  10. Anyone elses roll pucker up like a deflating loaf of bread? I am now too small for size 18, and too big for 16. So I got 17, which fit fine. But the skin on my stomach puckers up. When I button the jeans, my stomach makes a vertical line down the middle and then collapses on itself. All puckered, lumpy, wrinkly, and gooey. It looks like I had a botched PS!
  11. AI was hilarious last night. DH will watch bits and pieces, but last night he watched his shows in another room..so I had to subject him to me rewinding and fast forwarding to bits for him to listen to. That guy that kept panting, whispering, shouting, and wouldn't listen.. they had to have security let him out hah hah. Seriously, you think if you have to do all that to get a good voice, you'll make it? People are so strange. The girl who was blinded in one eye from the car wreck, they put her through but I thought she sounded horrible. Simon instigated letting her through, which makes me think he's becoming a softy. Oh well. I didn't drink water all day yesterday! But, before bed (in bed) I had 2x 16oz water and 1x 12oz of water bottles. This morning when I got up to pee, I was there for a good 60 seconds hah hah. Today I'm going to spread it out more, I was just so busy I forgot to drink (except my milkshake!). Things are good here, finished all my homework for the week, I designed 1.5 of the 3 items for the show on Saturday. I really having a hard time with 'elegant'. I make slutty clothes, period. So I finally said, to hell with it, I'm sticking to what I do. My 'elegant' dress is going to be a tube dress in dark brown sequins, with a frilly tan skirt and tan satin bow across the top.. and a scoop cut back. I'll HOPEFULLY finish it by tonight so I can show you guys. Well, I really need to finish the last 2 tonight anyway since I am going to Tunica tomorrow. Yeesh. Such a busy week. I honestly kind of hope I get knocked out of the contest this weekend, this is too much work for me to do with real work and all my classes that are very demanding. Woosh.
  12. Wow I missed lots of posts. I have 2 cents on Minneapolis Mall of America.. I went to a family reunion up there, and first off, I hate malls. But for the experience- I went.. and honestly, I was really disappointed. Didn't like the shops, too crowded, and too many floors. But that's my opinion, and I guess since I don't like malls, it's not a sell point for me! I like shopping strips, where the stores are in a row outside, I don't like walking around inside malls. Anyway, as for the Carolinas, I have a lot of family there. We go there every once in a while, and Charleston (I can NEVER remember which city is in which state), I wanna say NC. Charleston is AWESOME. It's so romantic. They have ghost walks, which I love.. lot of historic site seeing, we walked around the city for days. I love it, and it was on my choice of places to honeymoon :pray2:

I'm not cutting carbs. I think the 100 calorie snacks are good to have around! I can't eat bread, but before my restriction was good and tight, I ate Healthy Life white bread.. 70c for TWO slices, and 6g of fiber. And tastes 100% and texture 100% like 'normal' white bread. I am not a fan of wheat.
  14. I was filled 5 times (allegedly!) and my port was completely flipped. I swear I felt something 2 of the times. I felt like a gurgling, and.. I dunno, I felt it. And the initial scraping feeling that came from them poking the back of the port, and front of the port felt identical to me. So I honestly couldn't feel a difference between real fills and fake fills, except for the restriction afterward. But I never feel like I feel my band actually inflating, so I don't feel it as it is 'pushed in'. They initially thought I was up to 3.5cc in a 4cc, and I felt NOTHING restriction wise. Now I have 1.5cc in the 4cc and I feel extremely tight. If you think it's not going in, ask them to do it under fluero. That's how they finally caught mine.
  15. roflmao ME TOO!! When I know I'm slowly losing (it comes and goes) I only weigh once a week.. in the beginning I threw my scale out since I wasn't losing much.. then I hit plateaus and TRY not to weigh myself. Right now I am losing steadily, and my scale is in the kitchen on the way to my bedroom... so anytime I pass, after I poo, after I change clothes, etc.. I weigh. hehe.
  16. This will pass before ya know it. Go out to lunch, have a mushy.. get a bowl of mashed potatoes with gravy and mix it together. Get a bowl of soup, and don't eat the chunks in it. That's what I did! And I personally HAVE to have popcorn when I go to movies, hah.. but, you could just not eat popcorn and enjoy the movie!
  17. We officially are having our first snow of the season. It's just flurries that are melted before they hit the ground. It's in the 40's out here, so not like it's gonna stick and be pretty. But, I stood out there and got snowflakes in my hair hehe.
  18. 80% of the time I take tiny bites. 10% of the time I take bites that are too big, but I chew and chew, and only swallow small pieces at a time, while chewing the rest (I've gotten good at this, for things like Sushi where I can't bite through it). And 10% of the time, I am preoccupied, too hungry, etc. and I go back to old habits.. I realized when I was 18 and got drunk with some friends.. and threw up WHOLE bow tie noodles, I never chewed my food!! I just inhaled. So anyway, once in a while I do this without thinking, and the band punishes me everytime. It comes right back up!
  19. Frozen fruit things is a great treat to me. I think Dole makes a brand, frozen strawberry, mango and raspberry cups. I think if you did OJ, would be the same thing, I even thought about how to make these cups myself without all the sugar. But one little cup, lasts a long time because I just shave off the top as I eat, and let it melt in my mouth.. Mmm. I think it's 160 calories per cup. But well worth the indulgence.
  20. I'm so sorry this happened to you, especially since you were happy with it. I feel bad for people who lose the band in general, but sometimes people are happy to be rid of it, so it works out for the best. I LOVE my band and if something like this happened, I would be devastated. You are very optimistic and I hope you get the band back one day!
  21. Awesome, I'll TiVo it!
  22. 23. Thanks for all the info guys! I guess it makes a little more sense, but I still can't wrap my brain around 12 steps for binge eating.. As for whoever said you can't blame alcoholism on anyone else, it has been proven that alcoholism is a genetic disposition. Or maybe it's obsessive compuslive habits? I may be wrong, couldn't point out where it says that anywhere.. But everyone in my family has serious addictions, between food, Drugs, Alcohol, Gambling and Sex. ALL of these run rampant and dangerously through every single person in my family. Everyone seems to be motivated to address the issues in the past year with me losing weight, I'm the first one to make some sort of difference in what's going on. Due to this, my mom & sister are trying to get away from the food compulsions. My uncle is going to rehab for alcoholism. About 8 of us in the family are taking (or will be soon) Chantix to stop smoking. Maybe all families are like this, I don't know. I guess everyone hides this stuff well, but it's boggling when I write down all the things every single person in my family are addicted to. Mine are ultimately food.. and cigarettes.
  24. Yeah when we were thinking about the reception, my original idea was at my parent's house. They have a big manor house on a lake, with a huge pool with waterfalls, etc. in it. So we were going to just go to their house (FOR FREE), and hold a BBQ out back(relatively cheap) let people swim(FREE!), etc. We're cheap like that, and everyone would still have a lot of fun. You DON'T have to spend a lot of money to have fun and make it memorable.
  25. Yeah the song was creepy--but funny-- but if you watched the guy, he LOOKED like he was serious. And he probably is, he looked psychotic. I'm glad Simon got him out of there, stupid doped up Paula is just enjoying the attention.
