Starting over, 5 years after surgery
So I had my fill today. Was expecting a lecture, but none! Actually forgot what some restriction actually felt like sicne it has been 10 months since my last fill. Had less in my band than I thought which was good news to me. Thought I had 4cc and I actually had only 3 which made me feel a little better. I know 7 is too much since it makes me very sick and now i know 3 is not enough. This is day 1 of the do over!

Day 3 of the 5 day pouch test
I am on day 3 of the 5 day pouch test and suprisingly... I am NOT hungry!! Maybe it is the additional Protein? Maybe it is my mind set? Well what ever it is...It is just gonna help me re-start this band life. (kinda fell off the wagon for about a year now) Just had to share!

Starting Over
I too am starting over! Gained all back after a having all saline removed last year and only a small re-fill done. Decided to get over it and call my doctor. I feel ashamed to go back, but gonna put on a stiff upper lip and get that fill, eat right, excersise and pay attention to my body. I fell off the horse but gonna get back on!

starting over with lapband
I also have the band in January 2008 and have re-gained 40 of the 90 I had originally lost. I "started over" last week. I went back to the basics of the lapband and am taking it one day at a time. I also joined WW with my husband which encourages us to track every single bite. We can do this! Take a deep breath and start fresh with positive thinking!

Weight Watchers Online: Support Thread
I just started back at WW. The only person I told about the band is the group leader. I wanted to know how to eat all the points AND have everything to be band friendly. I find I have to eat some hight point value foods (Cliff bars) early in the day but have allready lose 5.4 lbs in the one week I have been at WW. I think it has alot to do with the tracking of everything I put in my mouth which I had stopped and some weight crept back on. I am doing the 5-day pouch test but I am tracking everything and still not very hungry. My motto this past week has been IF I BITE, I MUST WRITE!

How much are you paying for a fill self pay
My self-pay fills were free for the first 6 in the first year. Now if I need one, it is only $60.00. Have not needed one for just over a year now, so that price may have gone up.

Gonna do 5 day pouch test tomorrow...
Started the 5-day pouch test today myself. I stocked up on protein drinks and various soups. The "lumpy" ones I plan on pureeing and I tried to choose ones that were not too high in carbs which consisted of reading just about EVERY can the store had. I also would like some suggestions that might be floating around for both the liquid stage and the "soft" days (3-5).

Messed up and regained 50lbs!!! Need help starting over
Came back to this site to get back on track! Regained 40 of the 85 I lost and feeling like a horrible failure. So I am back. I have not seen my doctor for over a year now and feel embarassed to call her. I know I have restriction, just have learned to "eat around" the band (drinking too). My plan of attack is to start listening to my body and just starting over. I know it is not going to be as easy as it was in the beginning, but am ready to start the journey again. Thank you all for the posts..it is reasuring to find that I am not alone in this situation.

2 years out and need to talk
I also need to get re-motivated! I had to have a complete un-fill in June and have been going in for regular fills since but CAN NOT get my groove back. Getting very dicouraged again since I am gaining instead of losing. I know what i need to do but just keep slipping back to very bad habits. I am going back to the basics and starting over! Today is a new day! The sun is up the scale is down! I pulled out all my Lap Band infromation and going to re- read it and begin a new TODAY! So I too am gonna be watching for any and all advise given here.
