Actually, we'll all be skinny minnies by May :smile: I wouldn't say ride with me from h'ville with 5 people (it's a 4-5 hour drive), but.. to go to like Graceland and malls, I will have my car, which will hold 4 Violets + Me (Honda Civic 4-door). Who else is driving? I think we will have enough cars there to get us around :myscared: I am actually going there this weekend, we always go for my b'day to Vegas, but now we're way out here.. so we goin to Tunica, and my dad's playin in the WSOP events, so we like to watch him. I'll snag a price list from the spa and some restaurants in the area and report back to you guys so we have $$ ideas.

Don't worry about the rooms :smile: I have been there a lot since I was about 15, and the spa is awesome. I get facial, medi/pedi everytime I go, I'm too scared to be adventurous with the fancy stuff, but they got the stone and mud baths and.. whatever else. They have the spa menu in the hotel rooms. We can rent a movie and hang out in the room, shop, graceland.. :myscared:

It doesn't have a lot of info, but I didn't look around much. There's nothing on the events calendar for our dates, but I think that's because it's so far out. As time gets closer, maybe they'll have a show or something fun going on at the time we could look into. I did see this tho.. Harrah's recently announced a partnership with Food Network star Paula Deen to bring her passion-fueled culinary artistry to bear on a new buffet, one which will bear her name, Paula Deen's Buffet. The 560-seat buffet is slated to open in May 2008 I watch her cooking show, it is such greasy unhealthy southern food hah hah. The rooms I can get, have 2 double beds in each. I'm checking availability this week, to get the suites.. which is a large living room, connected to 2 double bed rooms. So 2 people per room. If they don't have enough suites, I'll at least get 1 suite for hanging out in (couches, tv, etc.) and 2 double bed rooms for the amount we need. I need a new count on who is going so I can make the reservations. I'll wait till Friday for everyone to make up their mind that we are OK with Tunica, and who can or can't come. And if someone does not want to share a room, they can take the living room, which has a pull-out bed. The connecting rooms, have locking doors on each side, so you can lock either ways.

Well, I'm sorry. I feel bad now, I didn't realize so many people would have been unhappy with the decision, or I wouldn't have mentioned it. I just figured it would give us more to do than just sitting in the cabin all weekend (I love you guys, but I don't even like sitting with my bestfriend on the couch for days!!). There is a spa right in front of the hotel, it's a 5-star hotel with 24/hour room service, and I'm getting us the best-of-the-best rooms.. for free. I am not rich for now, so gambling was NOT the focus. It's there if we choose. Within 1 mile there are TONS of outlet malls, where you can find awesome things at great deals. Graceland is also there. There is plenty to do, besides gambling & drinking. But they are there for those that want to indulge.

Ok Vi's, makin my morning arrnagements for the contest. GOOD NEWS!! I was worried about week 1 and making it, I just submitted some random outfits, and I know week 1 was our entries.. so I was worried. Ends up no eliminations today, they're just introducing our lines! YAY!!! Ok, so I picked out 3 outfits for me to wear. I need V input!!! 3 hair style choices, see all 3 below.. and all come in every different color. So style and color vote. Then the 4 outfits.. crocodile body suit, my pinstripe business set, elegant (sexy) dress, or my casual wear? Vote V's, I can't decide!!!!

Tracy, sometimes it seems like people are posting rude stuff, you just gotta let it roll off your back, the internet has a funny way of not pointing out the tone of people's voices, so things that are maybe funny or light hearted come across as rude (case in point). She told me I needed to hook up a mic so I can talk live (SIGH) I hate my voice, I really was hoping I didn't have to do that. THEN she asked who will be in the audience cheering for me. I said my mom (I brought her to Secondlife a while ago, she likes to play Bingo and slot machines, etc.).. my business partner (which is my RL husband), possibly my dad (he said he may make a person to sit in the audience), and my rl best friend who is also a clothing designer there. Well, mom is coming over here to get on her laptop from here.. my best friend will be BUSY tomorrow, so she can't make it :wink: And my dad doesn't think he wants to do it. Right..SecondLife is a virtual world. It's kind of crazy and hard to explain. You have real estate, stores, clubs, etc. I own a clothing store, and so I design and make clothes for my store. Companies like IBM, Coca Cola, etc.. have bought into the game and set up.. well, I don't know what they set up, I never went and looked. So some company is sponsoring a Project Runway inside the game, for the 12 designers that were picked. It's going to be televised on tv somewhere. But it's like a reality show that takes place in a virtual game. SL is free and free to download, so if you ever want to figure it out, knock yourself out

YAH! Not *the* Project Runway, but a new televised series they're doing in SecondLife. I am a semi-prominent clothing designer in this game.. SecondLife is holding their VERY FIRST TELEVISED COMPETITION. SecondLife Project Runway. I entered and didn't think I'd make it, there are thousands of designers, I sent them some samples of my clothing and an application, and forgot about it. I got a letter this morning, I have been selected with ONLY 11 others to be in it! I am just so excited I can't contain myself. So every week, it's like the real show.. we get a theme, have a time limit to make it, go before judges, etc. Till the last designer is left standing. This is so exciting for me, such an accomplishment, I have to share this with everyone hah hah!! When I find out when/where it's televised I'll pass it on. Maybe they'll have a voting round and I can get all of LBT to vote! It starts tomorrow for round 1, everyone cross your fingers that I can make it through the first round!!!!!!!!

Skinny bitch is my nickname around work. I think I mentioned getting a t-shirt made with that. Of course I work with all size 0 (and shrinking) women, and I'm still overweight.. but skinny bitch nonetheless!

That reminds me, the leftover lamb I had from the other night (was a lot, at least 4lbs). I decided to make a stew with it. Couldn't find any yummy recipes, so I improvised. Cubed it, cut off all the fat (lamb fat is nauseating some reason?!), added it to a big pot, added a diced onion. Cooked till everything was warmed up.. add 1c of chicken broth, 1c of beef broth.. some garlic salt, some more random herbs.. 2tbsp of red wine. Boiled for a while.. and then made parsley dumplings (bisquick dumplings with rosemary and parsley in them), dropped into it and voila. Ended up pretty damn good. Lots of leftovers tho, DH went to bed early and I only ate about 1/2c and 1 dumpling.
