  1. QUOTE....... enjoylife..... I have a high BMI (I'm ashamed to say it is 50) so I may be considered for having a larger band anyway based on what I am reading here. Of course I will ask my doctor how he makes that decision. Thanks to all who took part in my poll. I had a BMI of 59- and got a 4cc band. It can go either way! If I had a choice I wouldn't change a thing, -120 pounds in 11 months-ohhh yeah!
  2. Ready and waiting....lol
  3. Hi Linda, Hi Kathy....... AND EVERYONE! I have been to a couple of support group meetings, and I would not say they have ever been "BIG groups"... last time was only 6 of us? Some times I've seen more.. but, never so many I became uncomfortable. Also, knowing we're all there for the same reasons, is comforting to my self conscience issues too. maybe I'll meet you at one soon? Good luck. Kimberly
  4. :confused:I was wondering how you are doing now that it's been a few months? Happy with all results? Would you do anything differently? Any advice for others considering PS? How is your shoulder? Been rubbing the arms lately? Sounds like your scar is doing very well from Plastics? Hope all is great with you!
  5. Atkins chocolate delight shake. Salmon, and squash with baby carrots. Parts of Lasagna(not the pasta parts)... and green beans. Small piece of yellow cake. Tea, coffee, water, and milk to drink.
  6. I have no tattoo on my band scars- but, have been thinking I would tattoo a Plastic surgery scar ... if I can get a lower body lift next year. Like a tiny vine "belt" winding around where the scar will be. If I need an anchor incision it will trail up twisting together toward my "chest" area. Hope to see some pics soon!!!
  7. I love my doc, and he judges band size by the individual's "inside" needs. My starting weight was 367# with BMI of 59 and I am perfectly fine with 2.7cc in my 4cc band. I have lost 120# in less than a year. Good luck and great health to everyone- no matter what size it is ... IT'S NOT THE SIZE OF THE TOOL, THAT MATTERS... IT'S HOW YOU USE IT. lol:tongue::cool::eek::thumbup::w00t::thumbup:
  8. :tt2:    :w00t: Finally ! Whooooohoooo!
  9. Many peoples insurance pays for it..... But, I think my self pay, after appointments, may have been about $14,000.00... Don't quote me on that.. I don't really remember, as I was doing two real estate deals at the same time(with in two weeks). Sorry I can't help more than that. I do know that "Mary" is the one at doc Edwards' office that can help with insurance... Example: My Mom's would be free with her insurance- because her deduct... has been paid. Some co-pay 10-20%? Good luck... keep us posted.
  10. Hi Princess- How are you doing?... and waiting for a fill? Up Late------------------- 2 reasons really.... #1.. Mazie is now "2", and is sleeping with me since the separation, and #2.. I have had insomnia since before I was school aged. I am once again being told that if I'm awake more than an hour, I should get up - just until I feel sleepy again. hahahahahaha Last night I woke at 2 am.. got up at3 am. Took a shower at 5 am and Mazie got up at 5:30am (Friday).... so now it's 3:45 am next morning (Saturday) and I'm thinking of going to bed soon! lol I hope everyone else is resting better than I do! :tea:
  11. Great news Hollygurl! Let us know your surgery date!!!!
  12. Almost a year ago you got started? Insurance junk? Hope you get a solid date set soon!
  13. 96 pounds--- that is some serious work already! Looks like you can do this! Congrats on the loss so far!
  14. HI-- I'm an april bander too. Sorry about the un-fill issue. You know the don't gain weight drill... fresh foods... low fat, low carb, low sugar, control portions.... I could never do it on my own. My best advice would be try to "be good" till you get that fill... & Protein protein protein.....Good luck! Don't forget to stay active/exercise too.
  15. After 110# lost I had to re-introduce, me to myself. We/I need time to bond. I am working on it, and dreaming of Plastic Surgery- to better resemble who I feel like... I am.
  16. You are not a failure.. 100# lost ... that sounds like 100 pounds of success to me! Success comes one day, one choice at a time. Re-start today! 30 seconds of exercise today... maybe, 30 more seconds than yesturday! Start with baby steps. And keep us posted. Good luck!!!!!!!!!
  17. The weekend is over--- it's bad weather too-- so where is everybody??? making snowmen?
  18. MAYBE, but do they rest their breast on their wrist area? lol I had never noticed till I read this... now I can't logon with out thinking about it.:cursing: At least Rachel Ray would feed us:wink:... this girl looks like she is teasing us with- of all foods- an apple? Maybe she is self conscience of her left one sitting higher? :scared2: Nobody is perfect. hahahahha:tt2:
  19. You will be i my thoughts ad prayers too!
  20. I 2nd the GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Good luck!
  21. I AM INTERESTED IN THE FREE HUSBAND! Does he cook, OR clean? RARE TO FIND ONE THAT DOES BOTH(MAYBE NEITHER)? I GOT RID OF ONE 2 MONTHS AGO, SO THE HONEY-DO LIST IS RACKING UP... send him my way, and after all the work is done...2-3 days I'll send him back home, or on to the next lady with honey-do list. Deal?
  22. hahahaha... LOVE it..... why doesn't he? Maybe he can't laugh at himself? Too serious!!!!!!!!!!!!! FUNNY FUNNY FUNNY ... men?
  23. I polled 25% but it seems a bit less than that. Pro-Diet. lady said proteins and fats are usually cut so low that hair is weak, dry, brittle, and falls out easy... keep up good fats, and tons of proteins. Now that seems to be working for me. Good luck to all.
  24. Forgot to mention above.... that price included one year of after care and fills too. Good luck.
