  1. Stalls are no fun, but with hitting the gym you are probably building muscle and your body stalls to adapt. I always noticed I lost inches, not pounds during a stall. Just stick with it and the stall will pass. Plus the week after a stall I would lose about double what my average was.
  2. Keep it up you are looking fantastic!
  3. Stick with what you can tolerate. Right now you just need the liquid.
  4. I had very slow weight loss in the first few weeks due to being dehydrated and having to be pumped with IV's. After the internal swelling went down and I could sip easier and more often the weight started melting off.
  5. I walked daily and started jogging on an elliptical about week 4. My doc would let me do extensive exercise or swim until 6 weeks.

I think the sleeve effects us all differently. When I started losing, my hormones were all over the place and I had the sex drive of a 19 year old boy, the further out I have gotten the more that has leveled out. I agree that sometimes we focus so much on other things we forget about romance, and as women, most of us need romance to get in the mood. I would suggest a romantic evening out or some good one on one quality time.
  7. I transferred to New York and Company, I believe they go up to an 18 and have stylish work and casual clothes. Their clothes don't fit like juniors clothing which is a plus for me seeing as I still have curves! lol Revel in this feeling, you will never shop there again.
  8. I wouldn't worry, they pump you with a ton of liquids, plus your body is in starvation mode trying to hold on to what its got. It will start to come off soon! Keep at it!
  9. Strawberries killed me for the longest time post op due to the little seeds. I would avoid them for right now.
  10. Good Luck! It will all be worth it, just remember that around day 4 or so!
  11. Congratulations! It's only up from here! I am excited for you!
  12. I am almost 11 months post op and it still doesn't feel real, I still don't believe the person I see in the mirror is me!!!! It's a fantastic journey, enjoy it!
  13. I had similar feelings, I was angry with myself for getting to that point. This surgery was my ticket to a healthy life though and I wasn't about to back down. A little loose skin, can be worked with or ultimately fixed, the hair will grow back, but your health is priceless. Don't let your disappointment in yourself keep you from getting healthy! I am rooting for ya! It is so worth it!
  14. First of all you are beautiful. I started at 261 being 5'2 my doctor wants me at 130. I am currently 156 so still a bit to go, but I fully intend to get there. Some people plateau around 75% excess body weight lost. At your height your goal might be around 145-150. I am very pleased with the sleeve and the results I have seen.
  15. I had horrible gas pains (in the back and shoulders) day 2 and 3 after surgery. My doc just told me to walk walk walk.
  16. Congrats to you! What a wonderful feeling for you! Keep it up and you will start checking off all of your goals!
  17. How exciting! I am glad your here, can't wait to see how you do! Good Luck!
  18. I am 5 months out and I use Mederma Scar Cream and they are barely visible.
  19. I feel like I look a lot younger than I am!
  20. Wow you look AMAZING!!! Congratulations!
  21. Yay! Congratulations! Just keep doing what your supposed to and it will all work out!
  22. Good luck to you! I will be thinking of you and wishing you a speedy recovery!
  23. Like Doxie said try not to compare yourself to others. I know it's hard believe me I catch myself doing it, but we are all different and our bodies will react and lose differently. Be proud of the weight you have lost, and looked forward to healthier new you!! Congratulations keep us posted! I am here if you have any questions.
  24. I lost 19 in the first two weeks, then once I got on pureed food it slowed down a lot.
  25. I am five months out and pizza is a nightmare, I can handle some breads and pastas but it's a no go for me on pizza but really now, I look at all the grease and it honestly makes me sick.
