  1. I always have a stall during TOM and either gain a few pounds or I don't lose any.
  2. This sounds like it would be yummy!
  3. I am 4 months out and I am averaging 2-3 pounds a week.
  4. My pain was very manageable. I only took pain meds right after surgery and maybe once on day two. Walking as much as possible really helped manage the pain and keeping hydrated.
  5. The extra weight is all the fluids they pumped into you... that weight will fall off in no time.
  6. Just keep up the good work, take a little pain medication if you need and keep moving! Walking will really help get rid of the gas pains.
  7. After the initial recovery from the surgery... I noticed increased energy around three weeks.
  8. I started eating salads...lettuce around 3 months. It was a little too hard to digest before that.
  9. Welcome home! Just keep moving and sipping liquids!
  10. Awesome! Congratulations! Keep it up!!!!
  11. Just be careful with carbonation period, drink it slow and not a lot. Maybe even let it get a little flat, you might be able to tolerate it but the fizz can expand your pouch if over used.
  12. Mine was creamy basil tomato soup!!!
  13. How exciting! Good luck to you and keep us posted!
  14. I had to avoid anything extra on my meat, just chew chew chew!
  15. Very good information...thanks!
  16. Good for you! Keep us posted on the rest of your journey!
  17. Your accomplishments so far are awesome! Just keep remembering that... As far as body issues, you can do specific exercises that target those areas of need. I have done this for my tummy and butt and it seems to be working.
  18. I started at 6 weeks when my dr gave me tho ok to take baths and get in the pool. I use the Mederma scar cream. I am almost 4 months out and only the biggest scar (2cm) is still a little visible.
  19. Wow you sound like your doing really well! Good for you, you are in much better shape than I was! Keep up the good work and keep us posted! Welcome to the club!
  20. During my pre op diet I was, well... miserable. It is just something you push through. I would drink my shake first then cook dinner and leave the room. I know that is not ideal, but it made it bearable. Afterwards I was never hungry, I did however crave being able to chew. You should just avoid going out for the first month or so. Once you get on solid foods you can try going to a restaurant, but I would suggest nibbling off your families plates and avoid spicy foods for awhile. Another good thing to remember, if it was hard for you to digest prior to surgery it will be three times worse after. It DOES get better lol. I am almost 4 months out and I can pretty much eat whatever I want, I avoid specific foods though. My meal size is 2.5 ounces and I am still struggling to get all my protein in (shakes for breakfast are best). Everyone is different, just follow your Dr. orders, and I wish you the best of luck! Keep me posted!
  21. Good luck! So excited for you... Keep us posted!
  22. I am so excited for you! I will keep you in my prayers! Nerves are to be expected, just remember we are all here for you!
  23. Don't be nervous about the psych eval! They are just trying to make sure you are of sound mind to handle the changes that are about to come your way. Mine was more of a conversation. It's ok to admit that you have a weight problem, that's why your there to fix it. Good luck to you!
  24. I also mixed the whey protein( it's like syrup) with water and drank that.
