  1. The first week after my surgery my hormones were all over the place! I would cry if I couldn't get my whole cup of water down in the allotted time! Just remember its worth it, and surround yourself with supportive people! The emotions will go away eventually!
  2. I had my surgery this morning! I have manageable pain and I haven't pressed the pain killer button since 2 o'clock. I have already Ben up walking and hope it continues to improve from here!
  3. I am having my surgery tomorrow morning 6/19/12. I am really excited and I am starting to get a little nervous. I have never had any sort of surgery before. This week with the pre-op diet has been full of highs and lows but I stuck with it and lost 8 pounds. Towards the end I was fighting the shakes so much I would rather go without until my husband reminded me of my health. I joined this forum awhile back and I have been reading all of the wonderful posts preparing for this big adventure. I am fully aware of the ups and downs and all of the hard work that will take place. I am trying to encourage myself to follow instructions and just take the best care of myself as I can, this is a life change! I will be in touch with pictures and updates. Wish me luck!
  4. I used Dr. St. Laurent out of Willowbrook Methodist, he and his staff are amazing. They hold monthly seminars where you can go see what all three procedures are like. He will explain the risks, benefits, and expectations of each. He has a nutritionist on staff that works with you throughout the process. They are all amazing he performs the surgery in four different hospitals and covers almost all insurances. http://www.drstlaurent.com/
