Scars

Hi guys! I am almost 4 months out and my scars are pretty dark. How long did it take for yours to lighten? Is this normal?

I use raw Shea butter on my scars twice a day. I am 3 weeks out and they are very minimal.

I was also told to try vitamin E.

Go info to know.

Thanks, I will try both!

Mine are still pretty dark too but I had an abdominal surgery a few years ago and it took mine a year before they were light enough where I don't notice them anymore. I am using mederma this time and I can't really tell if there is any difference than the time I didn't use anything at all. Hmmmm. Wish I had a better suggestion for you.

Mine are almost invisible you have to look really hard too see them .

I am 5 months out and I use Mederma Scar Cream and they are barely visible.

How far out are you guys that can hardly see them?

if the scars were exposed to sun and got sun burn they will stay dark forever.

When had my Gall Bladder Removed it took MONTHS for the scars to even begin to fade... That was 2 years ago and the only one you can see is the actual incision where they removed it...

I'm nine days out

Mine are still noticeable. I put cream on them everyday. It took my scares from my gall bladder removal a couple months to fade. Now you can't see them unless you search. And my c section scar is barely there.
