  1. I don't deny myself anything... If my family is eating pizza, I eat pizza. I just don't over do it... I eat 1 piece and never the crust... Most of the time I still can't even eat the whole piece. I am at goal and maintaining for a bit now. I eat a normal diet. I had this procedure so I could live a normal life, not so I could spend the rest of my life on a diet. Don't get me wrong I am VERY conscious of what I am eating and to this day 5 of the 7 days a week I still log my meals into my fitness pal.
  2. I have absolutely no regrets. I had my surgery in Dec 2012, I have lost a lot of weight and I feel great! It is the best feeling ever to just look like a normal person. The first couple weeks were hard, but as long as you follow your doctors instructions and stay focused you will do great... One piece of advice I do have... try not to focus too much on other peoples success or failure... Everyone is different what works for me may not work for you and what works for you may not work for me! Remember that and you will do great!
  3. You need to talk to the state insurance commissioner... You have a grace period to pay and with proof of payment, the company really has no choice but to reinstate you... Without any details I can't give too much more info then that but I would definitely give a call to your state's dept of banking and insurance and find out your rights as a consumer.
  4. I am in too… I am not one to pass up on a good challenge… I have been going back and forth with a definite goal weight for myself, especially since I am only 3.8lbs to my initial goal/goal dr set for me… So I am going to shoot for a couple more than that. I am gonna TRY for 8lbs before Halloween!! Starting Weight: 167.8lbs Halloween Goal Weight: 160 lbs Lbs lost: --- Lbs to go: 7.8lbs
  5. Where in NJ... I am central NJ
  6. I am very close to the initial goal I set for myself... It was to lose 100lbs... That would put my also right at the top of the healthy weight range for my Height 5'7.5" My goal is 164... However I think I may want to go a little lower then that! While I feel fabulous and look pretty awesome, I feel like I still could look and feel better. I never ever ever thought I would make it to this goal so this is an exteme accomplishment for me! I am already so proud of myself. So what I am trying to say is wait until you get closer to a goal range and then decide where you want to be...
  7. Pre Surgery Weight: 264lbs DOS Weight (12.12.2012): 254lbs Week 1 Weight (07.09.2013): 181.8lbs Week 8 Weight (09.02.2013): 170.6 lbs Goal Weight for Labor Day: 170lbs... Total Challenge weight lost: -11.20lbs... I totally agree with starting a Halloween Challenge!
  8. I have never heard of taking EPO to prevent hair loss!!
  9. This is too funny...
  10. Pre Surgery Weight: 264lbs DOS Weight (12.12.2012): 254lbs Week 1 Weight (07.09.2013): 181.8lbs Week 7 Weight (08.26.2013): 171.8 lbs Goal Weight for Labor Day: 170lbs... Total Challenge weight lost: -10lbs... Pounds left to go: 1.8lbs! I don't know if I will lose the last 1.8lbs I have left to get to goal but eh! It is what it is! I lost 10lbs throughout this challenge and I am honestly happy with that! The weight is starting to come off really slowly for me but I am only 7.8lbs away from my goal weight and I weigh about 20lbs less now then I did when I graduated high school over 10 years ago!! My birthday is Sept 5 and I am going to hope to break out of the 170s by then, if it happens it happens if not that's ok! I plan to enjoy both Labor Day and my Birthday weekend and not worry too too much about getting to goal!
  11. I was actually just speaking to my Dr about this... He said in his experience, people tend to have more problems with acid at about 6-12 months PO, then at about 15-18 months PO he begins to cut your dose of PPI in half to see if you can without it
  12. The sugar is from the fruit and vegetable in the juice. I often will drink this as a meal... NEVER with a meal or as a snack... Some are VERY filling, The garden ones are awesome! I seriously love the Berry Veggie one, just be warned there are a good amount of Beets in it and beets come out the same color they go in!
  13. I drink about 120 oz of water a day and this doesn't include my coffee or other liquids I may consume. I have a 20oz cup and I fill it at least 5-6 times a day. Here is a good tool to tell how much water you should be drinking...http://nutrition.about.com/library/blwatercalculator.htm
  14. Pre Surgery Weight: 264lbsDOS Weight (12.12.2012): 254lbs Week 1 Weight (07.09.2013): 181.8lbs Week 4 Weight (07/29/2013): 172.6 lbs Goal Weight for Labor Day: 170lbs... Total weight lost: -9.2lbs... Pounds left to go: 2.6lbs!
  15. It may have been the jump in calories. I know sometimes I get into an eating rut (all the same things for days at a time) and my weight loss stalls, then I throw in a few days of higher cals and it jump starts weight loss again! lol
  16. This is exactly what happens, I have a friend who is a podiatrist and explained this to me. FYI he used the tissue example as well lol
  17. I am 27, almost 28 (lol) At first I thought loose skin was going to be a really big problem for me... I am 90lbs down and just about 8 months post op... My skin is starting to tighten up... I for the first time have hope! LoL. It was just as if one day I looked in the mirror and it had actually started to look more normal... Now my stomach still pretty much looks like a deflated balloon but it is beginning to get tighter!
  18. More options for what? This is the second post you made saying you ate raw ramen. I feel like you want more validation for your choice to eat this. You're not going to get that here.... Sent from my iPhone using VST
  19. I was going to ask the same thing... Then second it with Whats all the hype about Uncooked Ramen Noodles! They must taste awesome!!!!
  20. I am on Mirena... I love love LOVE it! With both Mirena and Paragaurd you can have them removed early... No matter what you are never forced to keep it in the full 5 or 10 years...
  21. I actually thought I read through the entire post. My apologies for the obvious inconvenience of my question. I must have missed Alex's post clarifying what they are. My bad. Sometimes people miss posts especially when reading from their iPhone app. Sent from my iPhone using VST
  22. Aah. Thanks For clarifying. LoL Sent from my iPhone using VST
  23. I Donno about anyone else but I still don't get the dots... What do they mean and how do you get more. LoL. Obviously dots are the new cool fad! ???? Sent from my iPhone using VST
  24. I am guilty of being a feeler... I have to admit it... I am always feeling my stomach and every time I look in the mirror it is like I have to touch myself to make sure what I am seeing is real!
