  1. That's how I am with franks hot sauce!
  2. That's very normal...in fact don't be surprised if you stall out soon. Just remember your weight stalls to let your body catch up. Just stick with your diet and do NOT weigh anymore frequently than once a week.

I am hanging out in there now and should be for most of the evening.
  4. Oooooooo that's so exciting if you ever want to meet up and chat I'm down!
  5. I am northwest houston Burbs! lol
  6. Mine was how I looked in clothing. My goal weight was initially 150 then I moved it down to 135 and now I am 130. I was aiming for a size 12 I got down into a size 8. So basically the numbers meant very little to me in the end. It was mainly about how I looked in my clothes.
  7. I am going to have to try this!
  8. They were not mentioned by my nutritionist either, when I found them I sent her the link and she approved and said they would be good. Everyone and every nutritionist is different. I have to drink the brands that are palatable or I won't drink them at all. Which that is the most important part, getting your Protein. I am almost 4 years post op and still drink a Protein shake every week day.
  9. I love the Dannon Oikos http://www.oikosyogurt.com/greek-yogurt/greek-nonfat-yogurt/
  10. Premiere Protein are my favorite and MyroPlex are good too but 17 oz! http://www.premierprotein.com/ http://eas.com/products/drinks/eas-myoplex-ready-to-drink-chocolate-fudge
  11. I had to. I never made it though, seemed almost impossible. Just try and graze on protein packed food all day. Now I easily can eat my six meals and get all my nutrients. It takes time, just make sure you eat protein first!
  12. This is fantastic! Keep that positive attitude bc it will get trying at times, but the positives far out weigh the negatives! Make sure you are taking pictures and measurements, and do NOT weigh any more frequently than a week at a time!
  13. I have been on this site for four years now, I am almost 4 years post op and I am in the maintenance phase. This site served as a huge resource of knowledge in the pre-op phase, a motivator and support system in the post op phase and now I am here to try and help others on their weight loss journey! I have only seen a few people from Texas and only a few in the Houston area!
  14. Everyone loses differently, It will slow down even more the more you lose but still remember that you are losing the weight. I eat 6 small meals a day, just continue to focus on getting in your nutrients and if you are picking it up at the gym, make sure your protein consumption accounts for that! Good on you and keep up the great work!
  15. Eat your Protein first!!! That is the most important at the moment.
  16. Hey y'all I am born and raised Houston, Texas. I was sleeved in June of 2012, so almost 4 years post opp!
  17. I did all of these tests as well, they are pretty standard. I am so excited for you!
  18. I am also in Houston, Tx! Howdy! I used Blue Cross Blue Shield, I paid about $2300 out of pocket and had to stay three days in the hospital.

    lol you crack me up
  21. I drink sugar free. You should avoid carbonation for a while. In fact I shouldn't drink them at all but I don't drink coffee and I only drink the energy drink when absolutely necessary. I drank my first carbonated beverage about 8 months out. Again just because you can drink it, doesn't mean we should!!!
  22. My longest stall was three months. I lost my weight really slowly also. What I did notice was during a stall I would lose more inches, it's your body trying to catch up. So in a stall weigh every other week instead of each week and take your measurements weekly instead. Also usually when a stall breaks you lose more weight over the next couple of weeks than you otherwise would have. This is a long hard process, keep you head up, stay focused and it will happen. All you have to do is compare what you are eating now to what you used to eat. There is no way you could not lose weight!!!! I am here to help if you have any questions!
  23. I was Cruela by the end of my pre-op diet and it actually ruined the vanilla flavor for me. I had to drink three bariatric Meal Replacement shakes a day and one lean meat no card meal with veggies. The shakes were vanilla, now I can't eat anything vanillas flavored. Weird I know.
  24. That is fantastic! Great job you, keep up the good work! I bet you feel amazing!
