  1. Welcome and I agree about the suppurt and information available here. So I have my Nut assessment on the 31st then off to Cigna for approval. What is this 5 day turn around you are talking about? My surgeons office keeps saying 2-4 weeks. Please tell me more, inquiring minds want to know!
  2. Yes its absolutely 3 visits now my surgeons office was very glad to disclose the info, in fact we were telling each other at the same time. If you done all the other req. you are done gummy bear. I have a nut. assessment at end of month and should be able to submit. All the best to you.
  3. Hi I have cigna oa I have last weigh in and nut appt at end of July then I will be ready to submit. Coordinator at surgeons office says my approval process should be relatively simple, due to my bmi, 53. Can't wait to hear APPROVED! Never thought I'd be fighting so hard to have a major surgery. All the best to you guys! Follow me on YT songbirdx4
  4. I asked this question with no response either. I just played around and figured it out. I see you added an attachment in your post so I assume you mean your profile pic. I mainly use my phone so.....anywhoo just go to your profile and click on the place your pic should be and the option to add a pic should pop up and you choose from gallery, camera.....etc

I'm 66 in. and my goal is between 160-170, I have a large frame and you know sistas (at least I do) like to rock a slight thickness. I can't remember the last time I weighed that much.
  6. .....oh Congrats and all the best to you guys soon to be sleeved and best wishes to you all in your journey.
  7. Thanks for the suggestions I will give them a try. I think I'm going to have to take from all things WLS before my brain go into overload. My husband teased me and says I could actually perform the farm surgery from all the research I've done. I doubt there is anything else I can research about this. My sister had it last year and I call and bug her every time a question pops up and she just cracks up at me cause she can relate.
  8. I have my psych eval and nut. assesmentt Monday 7/16 and I can't wait, although I'm very nervous about my psych, not knowing what to expect. After that I'm ready for submission to Cigna geesh um praying for mid August. Thanks guys for your reassurance.
  9. I am so consumed by this weight loss surgery, I can't sleep. I had a dream and woke up with this anxious feeling that they are going to shut down camp on these WLS claiming that way too many people are having them done right before I could get mine.....I know, sounds crazy
  10. What part of TN.....I'm in Memphis. Congrats time to get rolling.
  11. Keeping my fingers crossed to maybe make it in that number.....
  12. I am so afraid of gastric bypass! Everyone I KNOW has ballooned back up to their pre surgery sizes, yet still deal with the mal-absorbtion and other issues. One person who hasn't ballooned back up looks ill with sunken in eyes, hair loss and just looks aged. Lastly, one of my neighbors died from sepsis after gb so while I am aware of the risk in them all my cognitive association won't even let me consider gastric bypass.
  13. Wishing you a speedy recovery! Can't wait to be on the losers bench with you! I'm almost ready for submission to ins. My surgeon has a surgeons fee of $500 due the week before surgery. I called admissions at the hospital today to see what I would need and she gave me an estimation. My deductible is $200 my copay is $250 and my out of pocket is $1500. My ins covers 90/10 and they would like you to pay half of your 10% which for me she said would be around $570 with a whopping total of around $870. She said they know that's a lot and if you can't pay you can set up payment arrangements once you receive your EOB. But not being able to pay would not stop your surgery. It's amazing all the in/outs of insurance comps and the charges vs the payouts etc..... It's also funny how so many of us have the same insurance yet it differs so greatly.
  14. Try and forget about, yea I know easier said than done, and watch you get an answer. I have my pysch eval and nut appt Monday and last weigh in at the end of the month. I'm hoping to submit at end of month. I'm so stoked seems so close yet so far. I'm 5'6, 332, bmi 53 (ugh). I have high blood pressure, & sleep apnea.
  15. Pls let us know how long, will be ready to submit to cigna at month end. Good luck on your approval.
  16. The weather in Memphis is nicer year round than Chicago. Humidity in summer after rain sucks.....one thing that freaked me out when I first moved here, it rained in the summer and steam was coming off the ground. I don't think I can stomach Chicago winters anymore. Winter in Memphis is cool as long as we don't get an ice storm, for some reason everything freezes instead of slushing like up north.
  17. Chatt, Knox, and Nashville are really nice areas. I moved from Chicago to Memphis, so pretty much anywhere is a far cry better. There are very nice areas in Memphis as well.
  18. Remember the grass isn't always greener on the other side, and marriage takes unbelievably hard work. Marriage goes through seasons, but selfishness is not an option. My 10 year anniversary is in a few weeks and we began under some of the same circumstances with our first child. We have since the first child added 3 more. During the rough times remember what made you fall in love with her. Shower her with sweet nothings, no woman can resist that. She is carrying your seed which should make her beauty paramount above all the mood swings. I believe you guys will make it with some effort. P.s don't let the attention blow your head up
  19. I just would love to talk to someone who's been through it. Maybe workout together, I dunno.
  20. I'm the type of person that tries to see things from both sides before I react. This has taken years to shape.....lol. Congrats on the weightloss and keep up the good work.
